3 March 2018 Page 3 Dear Ladies, President's Message IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ! This may come as a surprise to you, but we are already planning for next year! To carry on in our fine tradition of wonderful programs and friendship, we MUST fill a couple of more spots on our Executive Council. Miye Cohen has done a marvelous job on the newsletter for some years now and she richly deserves to retire from this position. Next, the Walking Adventures group could be forced to disband unless someone, or maybe a couple of someones, can volunteer to act as coordinator. No one understands more than I do how busy we all are, but I must ask you to search your hearts. If you have not had the opportunity to serve the group, PLEASE consider helping out. Warm regards, Mary Newcomb President, ULC Luncheon Tidbits In Memoriam Our sincere sympathies and condolences are extended to the friends and families of the following: Wayne Danielson who passed away on October 31, 2017 (he was spouse of member Beverly Danielson who passed away in 1988); Sarah Phillips, long-time member who passed away on January 9, 2018; Jim Browne, spouse of member Gayle Browne, who passed away on January 19, 2018; Susan Gordon, member of ULC, who passed away on January 23, Scholarship Donations A general donation was made to the ULC Scholarship Fund by Sarah Ann Phillips.
