1 Bridge and Board Members Commodore Tony Martinez Vice Commodore Mike Grzybowski Treasurer Judie Jacobs Secretary Dom Pacenti Bylaws Chairman Dom Pacenti Fleet Captain - Home Port STARVED ROCK MARINA Member Lake Michigan Yachting Association Yachting Club of America Illinois River Basin Boating Association (IRBBA) Board of Directors Lynn Jones Dave Puent Vince Ursetta Renae Hollingsworth Wanda Gifford Assoc. (IRBBA November-December 2018 Newsletter A letter from our Commodore: 2018 has been a busy and fun year for WWYC! Many activities, our traditional Flag raising, enjoyed with complimentary Bloody Mary s, the Blessing of the Fleet, hosting the IRBBA Miss Riverbottom event, the annual Bill Jones Draw Down and Pig Roast, the Steak and Lobster Boil, Kid s Day, the Kid s Fishing Derby, the Annual Haul Out Party and many more events, all making this another year to be remembered! The Miss Riverbottom event deserves recognition all by itself. Many questioned, being somewhat of a smaller club, whether or not we had the resources to physically manage such a large scale event. But without hesitation, everyone came together making it one of the top best Riverbottom events! All these events support the comradery mission of our club and would not be possible without everyone s help. I am truly grateful for everyone s contribution, including friends and neighbors, who have all voluntarily come together to make these all successful fun events. (Please see the 2018 photo memories on another page). While 2018 will be hard to beat, I am looking forward to next year s events and making even more new friendships and memories. WWYC Miscellaneous Notes & Announcements: The WWYC Bridge and Board for was announced at the Annual Meeting and Haul Out Party on November 10 th. Please thank past and welcome new members to their roles keeping WWYC a great organization!
