Bring your family and friends to learn more about the Relay For Life of Reedsburg next week! See you there! January 2012 Relay For Life of Reedsburg June 22-23, 2012 New Location for Relay!!! The Relay For Life of Reedsburg has been based at Webb Park for many years and it has been an great place to hold the event. This year, we received an amazing offer from Reedsburg Area High School to hold the event at Millennium Field at RAHS! We believe that this will be a great opportunity for us to continue to grow the event and make it even more memorable. We look forward to making new memories in 2012! We would like to thank the RAHS for their support this year for the Relay For Life of Reedsburg! Get ready to HULA!!! The 2012 Relay For Life of Reedsburg planning season is among us and we are pleased to announce the theme for the 2012 Relay event HAWAIIAN LUAU! Be the first team to register and raise $250 online and receive a basket full of luau goodies that you can use at your fundraising events and then use to decorate your campsite at Relay! (We will be having a campsite decorating competition on Friday night at Relay!)

2 Advocacy In Action at your State Capitol January marks the return of lawmakers to state Capitols across the nation. The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) is your voice at the Capitol creating a world with more birthdays and saving lives. We make sure cancer patient stories are heard; important cancer screening and tobacco program funding is maintained; smoke free laws are protected or strengthened; and access to critical cancer care is available, affordable, simple to understand and adequate. Your voice in the fight is critical. By adding your voice to the thousands of volunteers across your state increases the influence of ACS CAN and helps make sure legislators understand the need to make cancer a legislative priority. Cancer continues to kill more than 1,500 Americans every day more than 570,000 a year. It strikes one out of every two men and one out of every three women. 3 Relay For Life of Reedsburg news The event will be held at the Reedsburg Area High School Millennium Field on June 22-23, The weather forecast is going to be great again this year I just know it! In 2011, the Relay raised over $69,000 for the fight against cancer! Every dollar that you raise helps us to continue to have a world with less cancer and more birthdays! You helped make the Relay For Life of Reedsburg a huge success this past summer and I hope that you will join us again in Thank You! I want to thank the Event Planning committee this year. They have done a great job so far and are full of excitement to make the 2012 Relay For Life of Reedsburg a huge success. Online Challenge This year, I want to challenge you to use the website, more than you ever have! It is such an amazing tool for fundraising and spreading the word about Relay to everyone that you know. There are so many great tools on the website for you to use including fundraising activities, meeting announcements, a place to post and share your Relay photos, as well as general Relay information. You can even link your personal fundraising page directly to your Facebook account! Last year, you raised more than $3,500 online! So, here is the challenge Team Captains 1) Register your team online by January 31 st and be entered in a drawing for a $50 Wal-Mart gift card. Team Captains & Individuals 2) Register online and raise $500 online and receive a 2012 Relay For Life sweatshirt blanket!
