4 WALK TO HELP MAKE LOCAL WISHES COME TRUE Make-A-Wish Orange County and the Inland Empire s 2014 Walk For Wishes events are community-wide celebrations and effort to grant the wishes of local children. Families, friends, corporations, clubs and schools are invited to walk together to raise funds for local children facing life-threatening medical conditions. About Make-A Wish Orange County and the Inland Empire The mission of Make-A-Wish is to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Founded in 1983, Make-A-Wish Orange County and the Inland Empire has granted more than 4,750 wishes. The chapter serves children who reside in Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties. In fiscal year 2013, our chapter granted 316 wishes. The most popular wish was to visit a theme park. The average cost of a wish in the Orange County and the Inland Empire region is between $5,000 and $7,500.
