1 2016 SUMMER YOUTH RETREAT INFORMATION What is the Gen 180 Youth Retreat? Generation 180 (Gen 180) is currently planning an exciting, engaging and spiritually uplifting youth retreat in 2016 which will entail 6 days of praise and worship, fun activities, friends and most importantly an opportunity to encounter God in a fresh new way. Where is the Youth Retreat being held? Our youth and chaperones will stay at the Lakewood Retreat located in Brooksville, Florida. What are the dates? The Youth Retreat will run from August 1st 6th (Returning on the 6th). Who can attend? The Youth retreat is open to all young people who fall within the year old age range of the Generation 180 Ministry. We encourage our youth to invite their friends, because everyone is welcome. What is the cost? At this time, the cost is estimated to be $350 per camper for early registration. In order to secure this rate, a registration form and deposit of $25 must be received by January 3rd, Our goal is to fundraise during the year to reduce this cost as much as possible. Your participation in our fundraising or sponsorship opportunities will assist in reducing this cost. Payment plans are also available. Additional fees will apply for registration forms received after January 3rd and based on space availability. Please see page 2 of the registration form for applicable deadlines and fees. What does the cost cover? The cost covers the following for August 1st 6th: o Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks o Room accommodations o All activities o Transportation from Gateway Church to the campsite and back to Gateway Church

2 When is my balance due? The total amount will be due by July 15, 2016 and can be paid at once or in installments up to that date. Please note important deadlines below when determining payment options. January 3rd, $25 deposit is due to secure the $350 rate April 24th, 2016 minimum $35 (second deposit due) July 15th, 2016 remaining balance due to secure space at the youth retreat. I cannot afford $350 but would love for my child to attend. What can I do? There are several things that you or your child can do to minimize the impact of paying $350 at once for the youth retreat. Payment Plans Payment plans are available based on your individual needs. The following are suggestions to minimize the o Monthly payments of $58.33 will cover the cost by the deadline. o Weekly payments of $12.50 will cover the cost by the deadline. Sponsors We have attached a sample sponsorship letter that can be handwritten or typed and shared with family, friends and acquaintances who may be willing to assist you. Please feel free to use it. Fundraisers o Parental/ Guardian participation in fundraising opportunities for Gen 180 will help to reduce the overall out-of-pocket cost for the youth retreat. Will there be a meeting with parents? Parents may contact Gen 180 leadership for details about the retreat at any time. Occasional meetings may also occur after some Sunday services and will be announced. We will also meet with parents on the following dates to provide information and provide final instructions for the youth retreat: Sunday, June 19th immediately following service in the Fellowship Hall Sunday, July 17th immediately following service in the Fellowship Hall Parents/Guardians are asked to attend at least one of the Parent s Meetings in order to obtain pertinent information regarding the Youth Retreat. A camper will not be permitted to attend camp if a parent/guardian does not attend at least one of the Parent s Meetings or make arrangements with Gen 180 Leadership to obtain the information.

3 Where can I sign up or make payment arrangements and payments? Registration and payments for the youth retreat may be made on the Gateway website at Payment and registration forms may also be handed to Bro Damien Hunte or Sis Faith-Simone Hunte or Sis Roxanna Snape-Smith in the church office. Checks are preferred, and should be made Payable to Gateway Church. Write the camper s name and the words youth retreat in the memo area. What should my child bring or not bring to camp? Will I have to sign a release? Specific information regarding camp activities, and items to bring, as well as pertinent release forms will be provided at a later date. I am writing to share with you the exciting opportunity God is giving me to grow and learn more about Him and how you can be a part of it. Gateway Church is hosting a summer camp for teens August 1-6th, 2016 in Brooksville, FL at a beautiful retreat site. It is an opportunity to get away from my usual surroundings to hear from God and experience His incredible power. It ll be a week of great fun, new friends, and incredible encounters with God!
