2 Who we are: The Care Act 2014 requires the SAB to be made up of 3 statutory agencies: Local Authority Clinical Commissioning Group Police Advisory Network Independent Sector Statutory Sector Other organisations who are involved in reducing the risk of abuse or neglect and protecting adults with care and support needs from harm and exploitation are invited to join the Board. This includes Healthwatch, Probation, Community Safety, Housing, adults with care and support needs and carers and providers. Statutory members

8 One year ago there was a lot to do to improve, one year later, much has improved but there is still much more to do Multi-agency safeguarding policies and Procedures are up to date and have been widely shared across agencies and available on our website, Learning and development sub-group has produced a clear plan and actions are taking place to deliver multi-agency learning and training at different levels to reach as many staff as possible, SAB has rebranded with a new logo, adult safeguarding guide to the public, - all part of an engagement toolkit which is being used to start conversations with people about adult safeguarding,
9 Lunch and learn together sessions delivered by Risk Managers and attended by over 80 people, three sessions taking place in Penzance, Truro and Bodmin to launch four multi-agency policy and guidance documents, Quality and Improvement Sub-group has developed a new way of reporting multi-agency performance, so we look at the whole system of safeguarding performance, Task and Finish groups are set up to work on specific issues such as policies/multi-agency audits to ensure the information needed by frontline workers is accurate, of good quality, understandable and easy to follow,
10 Shared Missing from Home and Sexual Exploitation Sub-group between children s and adult services covering the age range of 0-25 years old. The group reports to both the SAB, the Children s Partnership Board, as well as Community Safety Partnership Board, Engagement with communities - we are engaging much more with people to share information about adult safeguarding and to listen about their experiences. We are taking a lead on developing successful engagement tools across the south west, so Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly can celebrate good practice locally.
