Please allow me to extend my appreciation to our past Gala sponsors, who have been instrumental partners in ensuring we continue our mission of encouraging local philanthropy, building lasting legacies, and improving the lives of residents of Delaware County. Funds raised from the gala will benefit our Hope for Children Fund, which serves abused and neglected children in Delaware County. In my initial months as Executive Director, I have been struck by the extraordinary dedication and capacity of the nonprofit change makers we support in Delaware County; from counselors working with abused and neglected children to local churches providing quality after school program to local youth. I am excited and hopeful about DCCF s future and solidifying our place as the premier community foundation serving our region. I am also pleased to introduce the 2015 Recipient of the Gary Papa Leadership in Philanthropy Award,, President and CEO of Bryn Mawr Trust. Warmly, Iris Leon Executive Director : Honoree, President and CEO of Bryn Mawr Trust, has over 25 years experience working in all aspects of wealth management including fiduciary administration, wealth transfer and philanthropic strategies, with further expertise in strategic analysis, organizational planning and real estate. Before his role as President and CEO of Bryn Mawr Trust, Frank led the Wealth Management Division, which under his direction has grown to $7.6 billion and transformed the Bank from a trust-centered institution to a formidable investment management firm. He is a member of the Executive Management Team and a member of the Bank s board where he has served in several positions including Lead Director. As someone who also enjoys the challenges of nonprofit organizations, Frank has a long-record of service on many of their boards. At present, he is a board member of the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, AIM Academy, the Philadelphia Zoo Gift Planning Advisory Council, Baker Industries, Inc., and the Pohoqualine Fish Association. He is now a Trustee for the Bryn Mawr Hospital Foundation and the Andalusia Foundation. Frank was also Vice Chair of The Episcopal Academy Board of Trustees and is a Trustee of the Lower Merion Fireman s Relief Association. He is on the board and was past president of The Merion Cricket Club.

3 Hope for Children Fund Funds raised from the will benefit the DCCF Hope for Children Fund The Hope for Children Fund helps abused and neglected children in Delaware County find healing and safety. Through the Hope for Children Fund, DCCF awards grants to area nonprofits that can demonstrate they serve this vulnerable population with effective, high impact, and innovative programs informed by best practice. Grants from the Hope for Children Fund have: Provided at-risk pregnant teens with family counseling and parenting skills, thereby breaking the cycle of abuse and neglect for the next generation Supported family therapy and counseling services for hundreds of children recovering from the trauma of sexual abuse Trained Delaware County clinicians to provide more effective and sustainable home-based counseling and support services to children and families Placed over 200 orphans in Delaware County in safe, nurturing, and loving homes
