1 October 7, 2016 Hello Kaplan Chapter, On behalf of the NSCS Kaplan Chapter Newsletter Team, we would like to give a BIG Welcome to all of our new members, and Officers. We encourage all of you to keep up the amazing work! For this month's issue, we would like you as members/readers to get to know your newsletter team and officer board. Be sure to check out the bio's of your newsletter committee and officer board, as well as our chapter calendar, to ensure you stay updated on all that is happening within our chapter. Later this month we will be having our chapter Induction Ceremony, as well as our virtual costume contest! Be sure to check the calendar for dates and time! Scholar's, do you love to write, show off your creative skills, and want to work with an awesome team of writers? Then the NSCS Kaplan Chapter Newsletter Committee is the place for you! 3 Meet the Team Your KUNSCS Newsletter Writers Tallulah Bowser: Freelance Coordinator Hello, My name is Tallulah Bowser. I am your Freelance Coordinator for our NSCS Kaplan Chapter Newsletter. I started attending Kaplan University in the summer of 2012, studying to gain my Bachelor's of Science Degree, majoring in Crime Scene Investigation. My goal is to graduate by next winter. I have been a member of NSCS since March of I had the awesome opportunity of serving as Vice President of Public Relations for two years and now serving as your freelance coordinator. I am also a pitbull mom of two pitbulls, my boy, Kane, and my girl, Victoria who will be three years old at the end of December. My goals are to obtain my degree, and open my own pitbull rescue. Angelica Edwards: Current Events Writer Angelica Edwards is the beautiful angelic name given to me on the day of October 12, I am from Jacksonville, Florida, but I currently reside in Macon, Georgia. I have been a student of Kaplan University since December, 2014 and I have been a part of NSCS for approximately three months now. I am a Psychology major currently in the Bachelor degree program. My goals are to receive my Bachelor s, Master s, and Doctorate degree in Psychology. I will love to own my own Psychology office and precede in private practice. I m glad to be a part of the team! 3

4 Meet your Team Continued Kelly Hinds: Editor/Psychology Writer Jennifer Sizemore: Business Writer Hey everyone! My name is Kelly Hinds. I am a wife and mother of three. I am enrolled in the Psychology program at Kaplan. I have been a member of NSCS since March of 2014 and I currently hold the Executive Vice President Position for our Kaplan Chapter. I am very excited to be a part of the newsletter and we hope you all enjoy what we work hard to put together for you! My name is Jennifer Sizemore. I am pursuing my Master's Degree in Legal Studies. I am currently serving as Vice President in Autism Speaks U and as VP of PACE in the NSCS. I am also the former president of the Law Society. I have three sons ages 9, 17 and 24. I am excited to be serving you and I can't wait to get to know you all. 4 Sonseeharay Tunis-Roberson: Health Writer I began working on my Bachelor's of Science in Health and Wellness in 2014 and was inducted into NSCS around this time last year. It is an honor to be part of NSCS and I enjoy being a writer for the newsletter. Some of my hobbies include creating art in the kitchen as well as on paper and canvas, reading mysteries, being in nature, learning about herbs, and sewing blankets. I look forward to sharing fun and informative health articles with our readers. We are very excited to be back and writing again for you! Thank you all for the support you show the newsletter!
