Telephone Answering Service (TAS) Tom H System is working (about 50 calls per month) Service will release the line to us if we want. Would be willing to negotiate price. Look into alternative systems. (cell phone that is passed around) Mark B. will investigate what may be available and used by others. Risa suggested training as most calls are drug rather than alcohol. Webmaster Freddie - No report Speaker Keeper David G - No report Group Records Toni C Nine group addresses bounced back to WSO. See attached Penman Road had someone interested in starting a new Alateen group 2016 Convention Final Report Charlene, See attached Literature Baskets Roxanne Serenity Seekers won the literature basket Hope for today won the Spanish literature basket. December Fun Day Mark B. DR Report Flyer for Family Fun Day in December is out (see attached) An electronic copy will be spread about all electronic sources Nature recovery walk, beach meeting, activities for kids Bring what you want (toys) and a covered dish. $5.00 for parking and suggested donation $3.00 to district. Raffle THREE WEEKS FROM TODAY! Group Status Violet: Sunday beginners Joanie people and 6 alateens that pop in and out Julia some drop in attendance. Sometimes nobody shows up to some meetings.

4 There are guidelines in the service manual re: business meetings SOS Fernandina Beach getting some new blood (6 meetings) Task Force Election procedures/job Descriptions Any additional volunteers for the Election Procedures/Job Description task force Probably meet after January s meeting Task Force Banners/Tablecloths We have new banner designed for teens Freddie Outreach for Area Print up Alateen banner as a poster for school 2017 is Alateen s 60 th birthday Banner pens from area with girl in the bottle and some number questions Roxanne about placing banners in the LDC. There is room and access would be available during LDC hours on Wednesday. Need to label and post sign out on LDC door. LDC is not responsible, but will store. Meeting Dates Freddie suggest as an income generator to add a fun day (repeat of convention workshops) for September 23 rd 2017 Quotes from WSO can be placed in a calendar that will not require approval from WSO Area Items October Assembly - Toni Discussion group about St. Francis prayer on the book marks Cal-chat was wonderful Julia discussion about AA members in voting positions with al anon. May Assembly & TEAM Event Area assembly will be Friday night and Saturday (3:00) then from then until 10 and on Sunday AM there will be a TEAM event (in doing so we would kill two birds on one week-end) TEAM

5 event would be $20.00 separate from Assembly. Talk to groups for those that may want to attend Convention Grand Hyatt in Tampa Bay Table tent card and registration forms, flyer and magnet for your group. New Business Risa suggest that district purchase a small portable PA system. Found one unit that was $251. Should we look into such an idea. Group seems to support looking into it. Paper We are out of paper to cover the tables for Fun Day. Do we want tpo purchase paper or use plastic tablecloths? Does anyone have access to a restaurant supply store? That s probably the cheapest option. Will discuss at the next District Meeting. Did I actually say any of that or simply skip it since we were running late? AA state convention is in Jacksonville - Looking for input from al anon to participate. Is anyone interested in acting as the Al-Anon Liason for the AA Convention. I probably said AA Liaison, but it should be the Al-Anon Liaison or Al-Anon Chairperson for the AA Convention. Other There is leftover schedules and bookmarks from convention.
