Reservations are due by 5 pm. on Thursday November 15th. Make your reservation with Alice McEwen. her at the club or call her at Include your full name and telephone number with the reservation. Please allow 24 hours for Alice to respond back with a confirmation. You may RSVP for another member, but if you make a reservation for yourself or someone else and you or they are unable to attend, you are responsible for finding a replacement or paying for the meals. You can pay the $20 for lunch with cash or a check.

I want to wish you all a thankful and joyful Thanksgiving. We had another wonderful program in October, I hope that those that attended enjoyed it. Next month, our very own Marilyn Patterson will be presenting us will a book review on Jen Hatmaker's "7: An Experimental Mutiny Against Excess". I know she will give a fun presentation! Would you like to become more involved? Our Nominating Committee will be gathering names for the positions on the Board that need to be filled for next year. I have enjoyed being on the Board and getting to know more people, making friends and helping to shape our group as we grow. If you would like to serve, give me a call at and I will submit your name to the committee. At this moment the following positions need to be filled: President, Reservations, Membership, Newsletter. Each girl receives a goodie bag with diapers, prenatal vitamins, and socks for themselves. If you feel so inclined, donations of new ladies ankle socks or fuzzy socks for these gifts would be welcome. Bring them to any meeting and Yvonne Evans will deliver them.

4 FUN!! SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS FUN!! New Special Interest Group Director for the new year, 2018 /2019, is Carol South. Contact : or address : 42 Group - EFFECTIVE AUGUST 27TH, THE 42 GROUP WILL RETURN TO CASA DE CASTILLO, TOWN OAKS DR & SANG- ER We play on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month, starting at 11:00 and usually done by 3:00. Even if you don't know how to play, someone will be happy to teach you. Book for November is: The Long Haul by Finn Murphy, this is a book about truckers. Going out of our comfort zone for this one. The books for December are: Little Beach Street Bakery by Jenny Colgan or Christmas in Mustang Creek by Linda Lael Miller. You can read both or one and we will discuss both in December. For more information, call Maggie Sanders at or CHINESE MAH-JONGG The long-running, fun group extends an invitation to join them at the Harrison Center on Mondays 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. If you would like to meet some laid-back ladies who love to have fun playing an exciting, lively game, then you're looking for Mah-Jongg. (There is a small $2 fee for use of the facilities.) N&N KNITTERS The N & N knit and crochet group meets the 2nd Thursday of each month at the West Waco library from 1-3. We also meet the 4th and 5th Thursday at Crestview Community Center, 7129 Delhi Rd from 1-3. Second picture is of the great socks everyone wore just for fun! The movie "Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day" was absolutely charming and well worth watching-----and the food was delish and varied!! We shared pics of our pets (fun) and stories about the various dishes we brought (more fun).

WACO NEWBIES After going strong for over a year and a half, some of the "NEWBIES" aren't so "new" any more! That's good news! You don't have to be "new to Waco" to join this group. They generally 10 am on the (3rd) Thursday (day after the Wednesday N&N luncheon) at Panera's (Marketplace Mall) for coffee, visiting, and planning their next adventure. From Austin Street Downtown Waco TO Cameron Park Zoo and everything in between, they are having so much FUN discovering what Waco and the surrounding areas have to offer! Her is STUDY GROUP We have chosen US History as our next topic for study. US History for Dummies book will serve as the basic guide, so anyone interested will need to have a copy. We will supplement our knowledge of the subject through reports and any relevant material that members of the study group may provide. Movies, documentaries, and field trips will also be considered to enhance our understanding of US History. US History Study Group meets first Wednesday of every month from 10:30 to 11:30 am. at the Westview Library on Bosque. We welcome anyone interested in History to join the group.
