2 Dear Corporate Leader, Ovar coming Together is Indiana s only nonprofit organization dedicated to providing resources, support and education state-wide for ovarian cancer. Our mission is three-fold: We Create Awareness about risk factors and early warning signs that may be indicative of ovarian cancer; We Provide Much-Needed Resources for support, networking, fellowship and education to women diagnosed with ovarian cancer and their caregivers; and We Support Research to find early detection mechanisms, treatments and a cure for ovarian cancer. Ovarian Cancer is the deadliest of all gynecologic cancers. In the United States, more than 21,000 women are diagnosed annually, and over 15, 000 women die from the disease each year. Ovarian Cancer can occur at any age, and currently there is no reliable screening test. As a fellow organization dedicated to the Indiana communities it serves, it would be an honor to work in partnership with you as a Sponsor for our 17th Annual Teal Ribbon Ovarian Cancer Run/Walk which takes place on Saturday, September 26, 2015, at Indianapolis Downtown Historic City Market. The event begins at 7:30 A.M. Registrants may choose to participate in a 5K competitive run, a 5K walk, a 1-mile family walk, or a Zumba Workout. Participants will also enjoy a Teal Market, a Silent Auction, a Survivors Tent, educational booths, guest speakers, refreshments, and other festivities. Last year, over 1,500 individuals men, women and children participated in the event. The audience for the event is far-reaching and very diverse as Ovar coming Together serves the entire state of Indiana and no one is immune to the effects of the disease. Survivors and their family members, friends and co-workers turn out for the event, as well as members of the medical community, corporate teams, school groups, walking groups, professional runners, and concerned individuals who support the fight against ovarian cancer. I hope you will take a look at the many opportunities on the following pages which provide you with means to support this year s event. Each one will allow you to assist our organization in the fight against this terrible disease while sharing your philanthropic spirit with nearly 2,000 participants and volunteers.
