15 GE: ecomagination Objective: Increase awareness of the ecomagination challenge and the importance of smart grid technology Sponsor delivered: Materials including name tags and discussion guides on smart grid issues to spark conversation at Meetups Information about the ecomagination Challenge through curated newsletter content Ongoing financial support to the Meetup Groups Exclusive events for sponsored Meetups in 5 cities with senior GE leaders leading a discussion on the local smart grid issues for those cities Sponsor received: Significant increase in awareness 140% lift in ecomagination awareness 60% increase in Challenge awareness 72% of members reported they were likely to submit or vote in the challenge as a result of this sponsorship 91% of members said GE s sponsorship was valuable to their Meetup 15 We were very happy to receive this sponsorship. Not only did it make us more aware of the GE Ecomagination project, which several of us participated in, but the sponsorship money allowed us to continue as a free Meetup for 6 additional months, and also to partially fund the group's satellite dish heat engine project.
