3 WELCOME It's time for the 2017 SELF Conference. The SELF2017 theme, SELF - From Positive Psychology/Education to Practice, will explore the synergy between scientific researchers and practitioners. SELF2017 will include an invited symposium on Indigenous Thriving led by the new Australian Centre of Indigenous Thriving (ACIT) that is housed within the Institute for Positive Psychology and Education. Even more than previous SELF conferences there will also be more opportunities for early-career-researchers to meet each other in a "fireside chat" and for social networking among all participants. 4 THE CONFERENCE DRIVING POSITIVE PSYCHOLOGY AND WELL-BEING SEPTEMBER 2017 MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA The Ninth international SELF conference on driving positive psychology, education, and wellbeing by putting research into practice will be held in Melbourne, Australia, from September, Its main focus is to explore the synergy between scientific researchers and practitioners. The conference will attract over 300 practitioners and specialists from around the world. 17 CONDITIONS OF PAYMENT SPONSORSHIP CANCELLATION POLICY 50% of your total owing amount will be due upon confirmation of your sponsorship and exhibition. Of the balance owing 50% will be due on the 7 August Applications made after 7 August 2017 will be required to pay 100% of total owing upon confirmation. Failure to pay outstanding invoices by due dates may result in your sponsorship or exhibition item being released again for sale. In exceptional circumstances the Organisers will be prepared to consider cancellation of the contract with a Sponsor or Exhibitor, but only if the following conditions are complied with: That the request for cancellation is submitted in writing That the reason given for the cancellation is, in the opinion of the Organiser, well founded That the Sponsor agrees that the Organisers shall retain 50% of the contract price if the cancellation is accepted more than six months before the Conference and 100% of the contract price of the cancellation is accepted within three months of the Conference Cancellation will not be considered if the Organisers deem that sponsorship entitlements have already been provided prior to the submission of cancellation
