2 MEMBERSHIP MEANS MORE You are not a member of a gym when you join the Family YMCA; you are a member of a family. Membership benefits include access to wellness and aquatics facilities, a reduced rate on all programs, free adult group exercise classes, water aerobics, child watch services, volunteer opportunities, and much more. Membership Rates vary by age, number of individuals included, and branch location. Joiner s Fees are required for all new members joining the YMCA or members who let their membership lapse for more than 6 months. Payment Options include an annual payment upon joining or bank draft membership fees are withdrawn from a checking or savings account each month. Financial Assistance is available so that no one is turned away from the Y due to the inability to pay. Pick up a form at the Y or download from our website. Guest Policy and Fees are available for guests who will temporarily use our facility. Members may bring unlimited guests as long as each guest comes no more than 3 times in the same calendar year for free. All guests must complete a guest registration form and show a picture ID upon entrance. Local Guests may try the Y for free once and can extend the experience for $15/per adult for one week. Dependents of paying adults can enjoy the Y for free during this week. If local guests choose to join within the week, the $15 fee will be applied towards their Joiner s Fee or membership. Out of Town Guests may have access to Family Y facilities for $15 per week for up to 4 weeks. Dependents of paying adults can enjoy the Y for free. Guest privileges vary by season and Family Y location. Mission Dues When joining the North Augusta Family YMCA, you have the option of becoming a Branch Member which gives you access to all of the amenities exclusively at our location, or you can become a Metro Member, which gives you access to all 10 Family YMCA locations in the CSRA. 3 SOAK UP THE FUN AT SUMMER CAMPS Kids will have an awesome summer at traditional summer day camp offered at the North Augusta Family YMCA. Campers bring a backpack, sack lunch, water bottle, snack, and spray-on sunscreen. Campers bring a swimsuit and towel on s when they will be transported to the Aiken County Family YMCA for swimming. Unless otherwise specified, camp activities are 9:00 am-4:00 pm with early drop-off beginning at 7:00 am and late pick-up until 6:00 pm provided at no additional charge. There is a $20 per child ($10 each additional child in the household) one-time, non-refundable registration fee in addition to weekly camp fees. All camps are located at Mossy Creek Elementary School, 421 W. Five Notch Rd., North Augusta. For more information, call the North Augusta Family YMCA at or Tyler at tmapel@thefamilyy.org. Financial assistance is available for all Family YMCA programs. Weekly sessions: June 8 August 14 Weekly Fee: $75 week/members; $95 week/non-members Traditional Camp (Ages 5-12) Campers will enjoy arts and crafts, games and sports, swimming, devotions and character development activities. Specialty Camps (Ages 5-12) Campers will focus on a particular area of interest including art, construction, music/dance, and sports. For details, please call the North Augusta Family YMCA at W. Martintown Road, Suite 111 North Augusta SC,29841 Summer Leadership Academy (ages 13-15) Teens will enjoy a summer of learning and expression through community service projects and team building. Campers will participate in leadership development and fun through various activities. L.I.T. Program (ages 16 & 17) The Leaders in Training (L.I.T.) program allows youth to develop into role models and leaders. Campers will attend a training program that will train them to create and plan programs and also develop leadership skill and character development. Throughout the summer the L.I.T.s will volunteer and serve the community. *Students must APPLY via 1-page essay on why they want to attend the L.I.T. program this summer and what they would hope to learn through the program. 4 GROW STRONGER TOGETHER FAMILY TIME Birthday Parties Fun happens at the Y! Celebrate family milestones or plan your next event at the Y. Two-hour private birthday parties include use of kid s clubhouse and tons of fun. Deposit required. Contact the front desk for more information or to book your party. Fee: Member $100; Non-member $125 Bounce house available for $75 additional fee. Tae Kwon Do The Y wants to develop confidence and self-esteem in kids and teens. Tae Kwon Do teaches self discipline, focus and social skills. Beginner and advanced classes offered. Ages: 7 years and up Fee: Member $40/month; Non-member $60/month Active Older Adult Wellness Classes We offer lively, low-impact exercise classes for the wiser generation. Ages: 50 years and up Fee: FREE to members Fit After 50 Active older adult cardio and weight training. Silver Sneakers Participants may sit or stand to do exercises. Open to all active older adult members. Yoga chair - Introducing the flow of a yoga class while sitting in a chair. Zumba Gold Fun, low-impact cardio workout to Latin music. Personal Training Being fit never goes out of style! We offer individual one-hour personal training sessions with a certified personal trainer. Teen Orientation Join us for an in-depth training for teens ages This class is designed to educate teens about fitness including proper form, building a workout and proper etiquette. This is a member benefit. Schedule an appointment with the front desk. HEALTH, WELL-BEING & FITNESS Tour De Y - July 1 August 7 It s not France, but it s close! Tour De Y is an opportunity to collect a designated number of rides at any Family YMCA location to qualify for the final which is 4.5 hours of uninterrupted cycling. The final ride on August 15 will be hosted by the Family Y of Aiken for South Carolina branches and the Wilson Family Y for Georgia branches. All qualifying riders will receive a Tour de Y t-shirt at the final ride. Fee: $20/Members only; registration: begins June 1. Silver Sneakers The Silver Sneakers program entitles active older adult members to a basic fitness center membership and is offered at no additional cost to eligible members of participating insurance plans. Wellness Coaching Our goal is to help you reach yours. Wellness Coaching is a 12- week personalized exercise support program. For more information, please visit our website or front desk staff. Member benefit. Group Exercise Bump into your new best friend! Group exercise classes for beginner, intermediate and advanced offered free to members. Class schedules online at LIVESTRONG at the YMCA LIVESTRONG at the YMCA is a 12-week, small group program designed for adult cancer survivors. This program fulfills the important need of supporting the increasing number of cancer survivors who find themselves in the transitional period between completing their cancer treatment and the shift to feeling physically and emotionally strong enough to attempt to return to their normal life or their new normal. For information on how to participate, call Robin King at N.A.Y. CrossFit CrossFit at the North Augusta Family YMCA delivers a fitness that is, by design, broad, general, and inclusive. Our specialty is not specializing. Combat, survival, many sports, and life reward this kind of fitness. The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of fitness or level. Free to North Augusta and Metro Members. Class size is limited during scheduled times.
5 CARING FOR WHAT IS PRECIOUS CHILD CARE We want to make healthy living easier so we offer 2 hours of complimentary childcare service per visit for children of our members while using our facilities for up to 8 hours/week. We engage kids in healthy interaction and attentive care. Child Watch (8 weeks to 4 years) Monday - : 8 am - Noon; 4-8 pm : 8 am - Noon Clubhouse (5-12 years) Monday - : 4-8 pm : 8 am - Noon (During Aiken County Schools Summer Break, Monday - 8 am - noon, 4-8 pm) School Days Out May 25, June 5 Learning does not end when school is out. We want to continue the love of learning through interactive games, creative arts, and character development for school-aged kids. Fee: Members, $25 per child; Non-members, $40 per child.
