2 LUNCHEON CLUBS There are luncheon clubs in most areas of Trafford. Luncheon clubs provide a social environment where healthy food is provided at a minimal cost (average cost 2-3). Some luncheon clubs also provide social activities for people to interact and build friendships. Luncheon clubs are available to elderly and vulnerable people in the community. Altrincham Methodist Church Tel: Barrington Road, Altrincham WA14 1HF Open Wednesday from 12.30pm. This luncheon club is open to everybody, but there is sometimes a waiting list, please contact them to see if there are places available. They provide a meal about 12.30pm and the chance to have a game of bingo. There is no need to book. Indian Senior Citizens Centre Tel: Whalley Road, Whalley Range M16 8AB Open Monday to Friday, 1.00pm-2.00pm. The Centre offers a luncheon club to Indian people aged 50 and over. There is a membership fee of 5, as well as the charge for the vegetarian meal ( 2.20). Call and book. 6 OTHER ADVICE SERVICES The Advocacy Service at Trafford Council for Voluntary Services Tel: This service can assist with any stage of a complaint or situation against Trafford Council where you may require an advocate.
