3 Introduction to Your Provider List As a Medi-Cal beneficiary, this directory is provided to inform you of individuals, clinics, hospitals and agencies that provide mental health services. This is called a provider list, and contains names, phone numbers, addresses and other information about places where you may be able to get help. If you are interested in receiving services from any of the providers in this booklet, call Shasta County Mental Health at before scheduling your visit. Hospital Providers A hospital provider is a locked facility that offers acute inpatient psychiatric care. Some providers are located in a general hospital where other medical services may be received. Other providers are stand-alone psychiatric facilities that specialize in psychiatric care only. Organizational Providers An organizational provider is an agency that offers mental health services such as screening and assessment, plan development, therapy, rehabilitation, case management, medication support, crisis intervention and other therapeutic behavioral services (TBS). 3
