Here's how to interact with officers if they haven't. From NAMI National READ MORE» STOP WALKING ON EGGSHELLS by BOOK REVIEW By Jim Moore Paul T. Mason, MS and Randi Kreger The second edition of the classic book about borderline personality disorder (BPD) is chocked full of helpful tools for family members of individuals living with this personality disorder. I want to share something that is often overlooked. In a relationship between two people, each person shares equally and owns 100% of his share; no more! Also, boundary setting is vital; however, we set OUR own boundary. We cannot set another s boundary. These two take-home points will help caregivers take care of themselves as they live with someone with BPD. Borderline personality disorder, often misdiagnosed, is a pervasive pattern of instability in interpersonal relationships. Triggered by biological (brain) and environmental factors, it is treatable by a combination of medications and therapy dialectical behavioral therapy is prominent. Yet few mental health professionals are qualified to treat BPD. If you suspect your loved one has BPD, Stop Walking on Eggshells is a must read.
