4 WOMEN AT CLEARPOINT Women who become addicted have a different set of psychological factors and social pressures than men. Women have a greater tendency to develop an addiction to cope with trauma or emotional pain. Accounts of physical, sexual, and emotional trauma are common among women in addiction. We believe that until this trauma is addressed and healed, emotional pain will continue to threaten a woman s ongoing sobriety. 5 ADDICTION TREATMENT FOR PROFESSIONALS Professionals often have obligations that cannot be put on hold. If inpatient treatment is not a viable option, Clearpoint offers an outpatient treatment program designed to address addiction and underlying psychological, physical, and spiritual needs. Addiction often goes hand in hand with mental health issues related to depression, anxiety, or trauma. At Clearpoint, we address addiction and mental health issues at the same time. With expert understanding, compassionate care, and complete confidentiality, our multidisciplinary team will work with you to evaluate your situation and determine a plan of action. Our approach is holistic and personalized: we look carefully at issues related to mind, body, and spirit and take all of your needs into account. At your discretion and as appropriate, Clearpoint will communicate with your Employee Assistance Program representative, other treatment providers, your licensing agency, and any disciplinary boards. SERVICES FOR PROFESSIONALS A thorough assessment of your profession s current compatibility with a healthy lifestyle Detailed, individualized recommendations for treatment, if appropriate An individually-tailored plan to help you return to a high-functioning, healthy life A summary for your employer, licensing board, or other professional contacts, as needed AFTERCARE Help and support won t stop when you complete treatment. 7 An Intensive Outpatient Program may be indicated for individuals returning home after inpatient treatment or those requiring a higher level of support to guard their sobriety. CORE COMPONENTS Co-ed and gender-specific tracks Up to 15 hours per week of individual, group, and family therapy Masters-level clinicians and addiction specialists Individualized education and recovery resources Small group sizes Individual counseling support Alcohol and drug screenings With flexible day or evening scheduling, Clearpoint's Intensive Outpatient Programs offer up to 15 hours per week of individual, group, and family therapy. Groups meet three times a week, decreasing in frequency as clinical milestones are met. All therapy sessions are led by masters-level clinicians who specialize in substance use and co-occurring disorders. Over eight to twelve weeks, clients learn a range of critical skills. RECOVERY SKILLS Coping with alcohol and drug cravings Practicing effective communication Finding healthy ways to reduce stress Identifying triggers and learning healthy ways to deal with them Improving decision-making abilities Creating healthy relationships INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT PROGRAMS (IOP) Long-term sobriety requires ongoing treatment and a strong support network. Clearpoint provides continued care and support through specialized Intensive Outpatient Programs, where clients develop the skills and relationships to sustain recovery while keeping up with a job, school, and family commitments
8 12-STEP RECOVERY We offer on-site 12-step groups, including Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, and Al-Anon, as well as 12-step alternatives, if desired. EMDR TREATMENT Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing utilizes dual stimulation exercises to help heal the brain s information processing system and promote emotional stability. THERAPEUTIC APPROACHES Our ability to integrate and sustain a variety of practices and approaches sets Clearpoint apart from many other outpatient rehab centers. When appropriate, our addiction counselors, medical professionals, spiritual care staff, psychologists, and psychiatrists recommend that patients participate in various treatments as they progress through the rehabilitation process. ACUPUNCTURE Acupuncture can reduce stress and promote overall wellness. It helps individuals with addiction, behavioral compulsions, and other mental health issues. COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL THERAPY CBT helps address problematic beliefs, thought patterns, and attitudes and teaches you how to self-regulate emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. DIALECTICAL BEHAVIOR THERAPY DBT is a type of CBT that changes destructive thoughts and behaviors, with an emphasis on mindfulness, regulating emotions, improving interpersonal skills, and managing distress. HYPNOTHERAPY Hypnotherapy can supplement psychotherapy, helping clients work through painful experiences and reduce stress and anxiety. FAMILY THERAPY Family programs help develop a greater understanding of the treatment experience and how to support the person you care about during the phases of sobriety. MINDFULNESS MEDITATION Body scanning, guided meditation, and traditional meditation help reconnect people to their lives and experience peace and joy. MOTIVATIONAL ENHANCEMENT THERAPY MET focuses on improving motivation to change. It can help resolve ambivalence about engaging in treatment and stopping drug use. PROCESS GROUPS Process-oriented groups focus on different aspects of recovery, such as spirituality, relapse prevention, intimacy and relationships, and communication skills. Issues that arise in group are discussed in-depth in individual sessions
9 ADDITIONAL SERVICES Clearpoint offers a host of outpatient services at our private facility, with daily morning, afternoon, and evening sessions designed to fit the schedules of busy individuals and professionals. MEDICATION-ASSISTED TREATMENT Research definitively indicates that many people with addiction benefit from some form of medication to achieve recovery. Medication therapy may increase patient retention in addiction treatment programs and decrease the rate of relapse. When indicated, we use medication in tandem with comprehensive therapy and 12-step facilitation to give our patients the best chance to achieve life-long, sustainable recovery. Vivitrol is the only injectable medication approved by the FDA to treat opioid addiction. Administered monthly, it wards off cravings, alleviates the physical symptoms of withdrawal, and prevents overdose. HOLISTIC TREATMENTS Our program includes a range of holistic services aimed at relieving stress, providing healthy coping mechanisms, and empowering patients to gain deeper insight through selfdiscovery. On-site services include: Meditation Acupuncture Yoga Therapeutic massage We also retain a spiritual healer on-site. For those who are interested in this optional offering, this counselor can provide weekly sessions that focus on creating space for your inner journey. The goal is always to meet patients where they are and to help them determine what role, if any, they would like spirituality or faith to play in their recovery. AFTER CARE Maintaining your recovery means learning to live differently learning to manage a chronic disease. Each client at Clearpoint receives a continuing care plan designed to support his or her specific needs. We also offer an Alumni Support Group once a week, where current and former clients come together to encourage each other s sober living goals. Other aftercare services include: Case management Alcohol/drug testing and monitoring 12-step facilitation Relapse prevention groups Referral information and assistance Access to our staff following treatment FAMILY TREATMENT SERVICES Family support plays a major role in the success of people recovering from addiction. We help families learn how to support their loved one in recovery by recognizing signs of relapse, setting healthy boundaries and expectations, and communicating honestly and effectively.
