2 ABOUT THE AWARDS Since 2012, the National Mediation Awards have celebrated and honoured independent practitioners, inhouse mediation schemes, internal mediators and mediation providers across the UK. The awards were launched by the Professional Mediators Association to recognise the achievements of mediators and unite professionals from all sectors. Award nominees personify persistence, excellence and dedication to the professional use of mediation in different settings. About the Professional Mediators Association (PMA) The PMA is an independent not for profit organisation dedicated to promoting professional practice in mediation through a coherent and transparent set of standards and professional ethics. The PMA is dedicated to inspiring the constructive use of mediation and supporting mediation professionals.
