The IRP Industry Advisory Committee provides a forum for industry representatives attending IRP meetings to compare notes on issues and, because the meetings are open, for state and provincial representatives to find out what s on industry s mind. All industry and jurisdiction representatives are encouraged to participate. 5 6 pm What s The Plan? Targeted toward newcomers to IRP, this session provides context for our work by reviewing IRP s history. By the end of the session, attendees will be able to: Describe what issues existed for interstate commercial vehicle operation prior to IRP. Identify the fundamental principles of and reasons for IRP. Explain the value of IRP for jurisdictions and industry regarding commercial vehicle operation. Credit will be granted toward the IRP Education Fundamentals Certificate for anyone attending this session. But how do you ensure that your staff is still ensuring the quality of the information submitted to you for all jurisdictions? Performing quality control is a recurring suggestion based on recent findings from the Peer Review Committee. The session will cover what the Peer Review Committee has found and what jurisdictions are doing to ensure quality.
