1 Message from Stephen Emmanuel - Chairman Happy Easter to all of you. This winter season has again been very challenging, I am fully aware of all the extra efforts and additional commitments that our Carers, Community Assistants and Office staff have given during this time to provide the care and the meals to our elderly service users across all the areas. It is this special vocational calling, passion and a sense of duty that makes all of you so very special and makes me proud to be part of this ICare team. My heartfelt thanks to all of you. As I go across the company I hear anecdotes of what you do out there in the community to help our service users, this is very motivating and inspiring to hear in these challenged times in the Social and Health Care sector. ICare Group Newsletter ICare Group Mission Statement To be the best provider of community service to our clients in our chosen market and to make all our clients and employees feel valued and appreciated. Whatever the Weather...! Delivering such a vital service as ours can sometimes mean battling through bad weather to get through to our service users. Here are some photos from the recent Beast from the East. Our Meals on Wheels Drivers not letting the snow stop them! We as a company have now started the process of investing in new systems and technology to assist all of you to improve on how we communicate and share information. These will be rolled across the care offices over the next 6 to 12 months. Please assist us in this transition, all new technologies are only effective if the persons involved in them are using it well, without it these systems will never produce the results that will help you and the service users. The Met Office issued a Red Warning its most severe alert on Thursday, 1 st March 2018 as temperatures plunged and up to 50cm (20in) of snow fell on high ground. Unbelievably, there s a car underneath all that snow...!! My congratulations to all the Staff award winners, to all the other Carers, Community Assistants and Office staff, once again my thanks for all of you for the good work that you do. Stephen Emmanuel

5 ICare Group Newsletter Gender Pay Gap Report We are required by law to carry out Gender Pay Reporting under the Equality Act 2010 (Gender Pay Gap Information) Regulations This involved us carrying out six calculations that show the difference between the average earnings of men and women in our organisation. I am pleased to announce that the results show there is no Gender Pay Gap at ICare and on average females within the company earn more than males, this in the main is due to ICare employing circa 76% females who are represented at all levels across the business. Calculations are published on the GOV.UK website and our Gender Pay Gap statement can be found on the ICare website. Highlights: Difference in Mean Pay -0.4% Difference in Median Pay 0.00% Salary Quartiles % Female % Male Lower Quartile 66% 34% Lower Middle Quartile 69% 31% Upper Middle Quartile 86% 14% Upper Quartile 83% 17% Total 76% 24% Sara Boswell HR Manager
