2 On March 19, 2015, the American Red Cross along with members of the community will come together to honor local heroes who have exemplified the mission of the Red Cross over the past year. These heroes gave of themselves to better our communities and have given their time to benefit others. Please help us celebrate these heroes for all that they have done. This breakfast is one of the largest events on the North Shore, and we anticipate 600 attendees from the business and non-profit communities alike. The American Red Cross shelters, feeds and provides emotional support to victims of disasters; supplies about 40 percent of the nation s blood; teaches skills that save lives; provides international humanitarian aid; and supports military members and their families. The Red Cross is a not-for-profit organization that depends on volunteers and the generosity of the American public to perform its mission. This annual fundraiser makes it possible for the American Red Cross of Northeast Massachusetts to help our neighbors across 40 cities and towns when they need it most.
