1 Sponsorship Opportunity 51 st Annual Keep Texas Beautiful Conference Georgetown, TX June 11-13, 2018 Keep Texas Beautiful (KTB) is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit and a state affiliate of Keep America Beautiful. Our mission is to educate and empower Texans to take responsibility for improving their community environment and we focus our work in three areas: litter prevention, community beautification and waste reduction. We maintain a network of over 400 local affiliates, which are community-based groups ranging from nonprofit organizations to divisions of local governments. Our affiliate network reaches over 21 million Texans! This makes KTB the largest grassroots environmental and community improvement network in the state. In 2017 alone, our affiliates organized over 111,000 volunteers and collected over 5 million pounds of waste and recyclables. We offer year-round programming and training to our affiliates and our premier educational event is our annual conference. Our 51st annual conference will be held in Georgetown, TX, June 11-13, We expect more than 500 participants who will gain valuable knowledge on a variety of issues, network with colleagues from around the state, and receive recognition while being celebrated for their efforts to Keep Texas Beautiful. Attendees include affiliate leaders and board members, law enforcement officials, educators, youth leaders, state agency representatives, and elected officials. The conference consists of more than 30 educational workshops and breakout sessions, an opening luncheon with a keynote address, a KTB awards luncheon and the prestigious Governor s Community Achievement Awards ceremony and dinner on June 12, where over $2 million in landscaping awards will be presented to ten winning communities.
