Officer Formation of Communications Group Oversight of Meetings and Membership Departments Pushing forward implementation of Strategic Plan and One APS initiatives William Reinhardt, Director of Honors Program (0.5 FTE)

5 CUWiP 2014 Conferences for Undergraduate Women in Physics January (MLK Weekend) First Year APS has provided infrastructure support Submitted 3-year proposals for support to DOE & NSF both fully funded Fed. Funds for this year: $220,670 Set up a registration system for all conference participants Provided materials, brochures to all conference participants Worked with NOC, LOCs 8 Sites: Univ. of Chicago/FNAL/ANL Stony Brook/BNL Penn State U. C. Berkeley U. Maryland/NIST Florida State Louisiana State U. Univ. of Utah

6 CUWiP 2014 Conferences for Undergraduate Women in Physics Programs varied at different sites: Plenary Talk Dr. Debra Fischer (Yale) Invited talks women physicists academia, industry, national labs Panels focusing on career pathways, applying to grad school, research opportunities Posters competition Evening activities Funds from registration - ~$25K To be placed in Board Directed account for CUWiP future meetings expenses (at the request of the NOC)
