Our mission is to eliminate Alzheimer s disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health. Our vision is a world without Alzheimer s. What is RIVALZ? The Alzheimer s Association RivALZ is a volunteer-driven event that engages young professional women in friendly but fierce flag football games around the country. As part of the competition, teams are organized around age-old rivalries that inspire fundraising, awareness and action in the fight against Alzheimer s disease. Audience: Hundreds of young professionals, business professionals, community leaders, philanthropic donors, friends and family believe, through this event, they have the potential to change the future of Alzheimer s disease. Through their participation, they understand they can help empower families to stay strong by engaging in free programs and services, fund a discovery that saves future generations from this disease, and stand up as a part of a movement to make Alzheimer s a national priority. Media Exposure: This event garners a variety of media coverage throughout the state of Nebraska, including television, radio, & print media. In addition, event information is distributed through out Chapter e-news list of 9,000+ and posts to our 2,900+ social media followers.
