3 Session Goals Provide you the real deal relative to life at UNCW. Test your knowledge and assumptions regarding college life. Alleviate concerns you have regarding your student s college experience.

5 Cornerstone Compacts Help students meet their peers and settle in to their new home. Help students voice their opinion about how they want to live among other students. Establish agreed upon standards of civility which provide a supportive environment for students to live and learn. Provide students tools to respond to peer behaviors which fall below community standards. Teach critical thinking skills such as consensus building, negotiation, compromise, assertive communication and conflict resolution.
