The campus is running above its optimum operational capacity with currently 140 students enrolled. Female enrollment of the campus is 44%. Admissions in nursery and grade KG have reached optimum capacity and we expect an increase in strength in coming years as these new admissions are promoted to higher grades. 3

7 Operational Oversight Each TCF school is supported through multiple teams in the area office, regional office and eventually the central head office. Classroom observations are carried out to ensure the quality of education being provided meets standards. Students and teachers are encouraged to provide feedback about the program. This remarks-based assessment provides for an accommodating learning environment for children, where the focus remains on skill enhancement and improvement. 8 Annual Operational Support Breakup Please find below percentage breakup of the cost. All TCF Schools have a pay-as-you-can-afford system, where families are encouraged to make a nominal contribution towards the fee based on their means often as little as PKR 10. The shortfall is funded by the well-wishers such as yourself. 6

9 Beyond Basic Schooling - Volunteer Programmes and Partnerships for the year *An Aagahi Center comprises of an Aagahi teacher along with a group of (15-20) learners. The location of a center is not fixed and classes can be conducted either at the TCF school premises or at a learner s/teacher s home in the community around the school. 7

10 Update on TCF Alumni Statistics of TCF Network for the year ,100 Matriculates 14, ,250 Students in Intermediate Students in Vocational Programmes Students in Tertiary Education These numbers are only indicative of students who apply for TCF alumni scholarships either for 2-3 year Bachelor s or Inermediate or 4-5 year Professional degree programmes. 11 Activities in TCF Schools through the year Teacher Training Total hours this year: 120 Staff Development Days Total hours this year: 50 Parent Teacher Meetings PTMs this year: 14 May, 5 Nov, 4 Feb Teacher training workshops are conducted during the Summer holidays. They focus on refining the techniques and skills of our teaching staff. Staff development days during the academic year are meant for teachers and principal to review their class and school plans and discuss their curriculum priorities. Formal parent-teacher meetings are held thrice a year. However, parents and teachers maintain an open dialogue and meet informally as well to discuss their concerns. Students Week 7 12 Nov, 2015 Independence Day Celebrated on 13 Aug Special Awareness Days Total days observed this year: 15 Regular physical education classes and sports are held during Students Week. These co-curricular activities encourage team work, group participation and enhance the students' learning progress. TCF celebrates Independence Day in its schools nationwide. The objective is to inculcate the spirit of patriotism and a sense of national pride in our younger generation. International awareness days are also observed during the school year. The purpose is to develop an understanding of students on various humanitarian, cultural and social issues around the world. 9

12 TCF School Building Standards TCF Primary School Unit TCF Secondary School Unit A Primary single unit school has a covered area of approx. 6,500 sq. ft. with 6 classrooms (KG to Class 5) and 30 students per class. Faculty staff for a unit comprises of 1 principal and 6 class teachers, 1 English language teacher, 1 co-curricular assistant. Non-faculty staff comprises of an account assistant, 1 van driver, 1 gatekeeper and 2 maids. A Secondary single unit school has a covered area of approx. 9,000 sq. ft. with 5 classrooms (Class VI to X) and 36 students per class. Faculty staff for a unit comprises of 1 principal, 6 subject teachers, 1 English language teacher,1 co-curricular assistant. Non-faculty staff comprises of an account assistant, 1 van driver, 1 gatekeeper and 2 maids. 10
