2 OCTOBER New Employee Orientation 30 - Wild Horse Pass Hotel & Casino Anniversary 27 - Lone Butte Team Member Appreciation Day 31 - Happy Halloween
3 MESSAGE FROM CEO JOSEPH MAGLIARDITI Team Members, Accepting the position of Chief Executive Officer at Gila River Enterprises is my distinct honor. Like you, I had a choice about where to work and how to make a difference as part of my daily contributions on the job. I selected Gila River Gaming Enterprises because I believe it to be one of the best gaming facilities in the country. I knew there was no better company to join if I wanted to make a difference in the operations of the business, as well as ensure the long term sustainability and success of the Enterprise and the Gila River Indian Community. I look forward to leading and serving our guests and team members as we work together to build the best gaming experience in the state. While the Enterprise has seen great success as an organization, there is always room for improvement. I believe that a deep rooted appreciation of tradition combined with innovative strategies will allow the Enterprise to reach new levels of success. This is a critical time in the Arizona gaming market, as well as the gaming industry. As new competition enters the market, in addition to our existing competitors continued effort to improve, we must work smarter and more efficient to build upon our competitive edge. Our goal is for Gila River Gaming Enterprises to be the standard competitors are measured against. As we enter into a new chapter for the Enterprise, I wanted to take the opportunity to share my background with you and share what inspires me. I was born and raised in upstate New York, coming from a very large family. I am married and I have two teenage daughters. The root of everything I do on a daily basis is shaped by my family and my overall life experiences. I have a perpetual desire to learn new things, as well as a drive to succeed both personally and professionally. I have a strong belief that the smallest of details can often make the biggest difference in our lives. I tend to be my toughest critic. I believe now is the time people are looking for more ways to be entertained and find an escape from their everyday lives. The entertainment experience we create will offer the escape our guests are seeking. This will be made possible by insight, dedication, and hard work from you. Everything we do here at Gila River Gaming Enterprises is powered by our valued team members. The impact you make each day will create meaningful change and growth for the Enterprise. Many companies both locally and nationally aspire to create innovation and change. However, very few obtain all the elements necessary to make it possible; talented team members, availability of resources and a strong core product to offer to the consumer. Gila River Gaming Enterprises has proven to have all of these. As the new Gila River Gaming Enterprises Chief Executive Officer, I could not ask for a better foundation. I look forward to building upon this foundation together, and ask that you join me so we can make Gila River Gaming Enterprises the best place for employment and entertainment in valley. Sincerely, Joseph Magliarditi
