3 Our next Social Night Out TBD SMILE AMAZON If you are an amazon user, remember to use the site The Amazon Smile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price from your eligible Amazon Smile purchases which will go directly to our club s foundation!! Funds are accumulated quarterly and transferred to our bank account directly. IF YOU HAVE DONE ANY VOLUNTEERING RECORD YOUR HOURS WHEN YOU CHECK INTO OUR MEETING. Joe shared a thought about the golf tournament if this is the main fund raiser of the club, let s get behind it, everyone knows 2 people that like to golf. WE NEED MORE GOLFERS. SHARE THE FLIER WITH SOMEONE TODAY!
4 MEALS OF HOPE!! Please come out and support the Marco Island Sunrise Rotarian Bill Captain Happy Hope and his Hope Warriors as they continue their fundraising efforts in advance of the November 17, 2018 packaging event. Raising the $50, that is necessary to package 250,000 meals on November 17 th is a tall order. Please also go to mohmi.org and sign up to volunteer at the packaging event or make a donation to Meals of Hope. WOMEN S SHELTER DONATIONS. Remember to bring tooth brushes, tooth paste, shampoo, soap and diapers for the battered women s shelter. They also appreciate crayons and other activities. Jan will make a run with what we collect every other week! Thanks Jan! Jan wanted to say thank you to everyone that has brought in items for these women that need help during a very difficult time in their lives. Giving a little something makes their lives a little better. If you travel, remember to bring in the soaps and shampoos that you don t use in your room you paid for them- let them help one of these young mothers! Joe Parisi shared an opportunity with the club coming up in April. The club can place 80 to 120 flags along Thomasson Dr for the US Open Pickleball tournament and our club will be paid $2500. We are checking with another club that we believe has this many flags to see if we can use them for this event. If any of the flags or lost or damaged they will replace the flags for us. Stay Tuned!
