Starry Night offers an exceptional evening of cocktails, gourmet dining with Richmond s top chefs, live music, lively auctions, and a mission-based program highlighting important advances in CF research and the search for a cure. Changes are on the Menu for 2017 New this year, Starry Night will feature Richmond s top culinary talents. Five of Richmond s star chefs Chef Brittanny Anderson (Metzger Bar & Butchery; and the all-new Brenner Pass), Chef Walter Bundy (Shagbark), Chef Lee Gregory (Southbound; and The Roosevelt), Chef Dale Reitzer (Acacia), and Chef Joe Sparatta (Heritage & Southbound) will come together at the Altria Theater to prepare and present a five-course dining experience. Guests will also be invited to bid on live, premier, and silent auctions with a culinary and travel theme, and support innovative research in the fight for a cure for cystic fibrosis by making a monetary donation to Bid-for-a-Cure. In 2016, the 23 rd annual Starry Night raised a net amount of $198,000 with 200 guests representing top business executives and philanthropists in the Richmond area. The 2017 event aims to raise over $200,000 in support of CF research and a cure.

5 TOP TEN REASONS TO SUPPORT THE CFF 1. The Foundation is adding tomorrows. When the Foundation was established, children born with cystic fibrosis were not expected to live long enough to attend elementary school. Today, thanks to research and care supported by the Foundation, many people with CF are living into their 30s, 40s and beyond. 2. The Foundation is leading the quest for new treatments and a cure. The Foundation has raised and committed hundreds of millions of dollars to help develop CF drugs and therapies. The Foundation has 70 chapters throughout the U.S. and supports and accredits a nationwide network of over 120 CF care centers which diagnose and treat nearly all CF patients in the U.S. Important Note on Attendance at Foundation Events To reduce the risk of getting and spreading germs at CF Foundation-sponsored events, we ask that everyone follow basic best practices by regularly cleaning your hands with soap and water or with an alcohol-based hand gel, covering your cough or sneeze with a tissue or your inner elbow and maintaining a safe 6-foot distance from anyone with a cold or infection. Medical evidence shows that germs may spread among people with CF through direct and indirect contact, as well as through droplets that travel short distances when a person coughs or sneezes. These germs can lead to worsening symptoms and speed decline in lung function. To further help reduce the risk of cross-infection, the Foundation s attendance policy recommends inviting only one person with CF to an indoor Foundation-sponsored event at a specific time.
