Aerial application - notify all inhabitants of the immediate area to be sprayed and issue the necessary warnings. Do not spray over or allow drift to contaminate or adjacent areas. Although Sevin XLR Plus is regarded as crop-safe on most important cultivars, this does not mean that a more sensitive cultivar might not be commercialized in the future. Where a new cultivar is encountered, large areas should not be sprayed without prior testing of Sevin XLR Plus on that cultivar.

3 ALTHOUGH THIS REMEDY HAS BEEN EXTENSIVELY TESTED UNDER A LARGE VARIETY OF CONDITIONS THE REGISTRATION HOLDER DOES NOT WARRANT THAT IT WILL BE EFFICACIOUS UNDER ALL CONDITIONS BECAUSE THE ACTION AND EFFECT THEREOF MAY BE AFFECTED BY FACTORS SUCH AS ABNORMAL CLIMATIC AND STORAGE CONDITIONS, QUALITY OF DILUTION WATER, COMPATIBILITY WITH OTHER SUBSTANCES NOT INDICATED ON THE LABEL AND THE OCCURRENCE OF RESISTANCE OF THE PESTS TO THE REMEDY CONCERNED AS WELL AS BY THE METHOD, TIME AND ACCURACY OF APPLICATION. CONSULT THE SUPPLIER IN THE EVENT OF ANY UNCERTAINTY. PRECAUTIONS: Avoid prolonged or repeated skin contact with concentrate or spray. Do not inhale spray mist. Wear face shield and rubber gloves when handling the product. Wash contaminated clothing daily. Wash with soap and after handling or skin contact. Do not eat, drink or smoke whilst mixing or applying or before washing hands and face and changing clothes. Prevent contamination of food, eating utensils, feed and drinking. Prevent drift onto other crops, grazing, rivers, dams or other areas not under treatment. When empty, invert the container over the spray tank or mixing tank and allow it to drain for at least 30 seconds after the flow has slowed down to a drip. Thereafter rinse the container three times with a volume of eual to at least one tenth of that of the container and add the rinsings to the contents of the spray tank. Destroy the container by puncturing and burying or burning it. Do not use the container for any other purpose. SYMPTOMS OF POISONING: Salivation, y eyes, pinpoint eye pupils, blurred vision, muscle weakness, difficult breathing, excessive sweating, abdominal cramps, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, weakness, headache. In severe cases, convulsion, unconsciousness and respiratory failure may occur. FIRST AID TREATMENT: Remove patient from source of poisoning and keep him uiet and reassured. Remove contaminated clothing and rinse contaminated body areas thoroughly with plenty of soap and cold. Do not rub skin. Flush contamination out of eyes with clean for 15 minutes. If swallowed, do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious or convulsing person. If conscious and not convulsing, drink 1 to 2 glasses of and induce vomiting by tickling the back part of the throat with your finger. Repeat until vomit is clear and free from smell of poison. Call a doctor immediately or transport patient to a doctor or hospital whichever is faster and advise them of the poisoning. SHOW THIS LABEL TO THE DOCTOR. INFORMATION FOR DOCTOR: Sevin XLR Plus (carbaryl) is an oxime carbamate which is a moderate reversible, cholinesterase inhibitor. Gastric lavage may be used if this product has been swallowed. Specific treatment consists of atropine sulphate. Improve tissue oxygenation as much as possible before administering atropine to minimize risk of ventricular fibrillation. Mild cases may be given 1 to 2 mg intramuscularly every 10 minutes until full atropinization has been achieved and repeated thereafter whenever symptoms re-appear. Severe cases should be given 2 to 4 mg intravenously every 10 minutes until fully atropinized, then intramuscularly every 30 to 60 minutes as needed to main the effect for at least 12 hours. Dosages for children should be appropriately reduced. Complete recovery from over-exposure is to be expected within 24 hours. Narcotics and other sedatives should not be used. Other drugs like 2-PAM are NOT recommended. RESISTANCE WARNING: For resistance management, Sevin XLR Plus is a Group Code 1A insecticide. Any insect population may contain individuals naturally resistant to Sevin XLR Plus and other Group Code 1A insecticides. The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the insect population if these insecticides are used repeatedly. These resistant insects may not be controlled by Sevin XLR Plus or any other Group Code 1A insecticides. Since the presence of resistant insects is difficult to detect prior to insecticide application, it is of the utmost importance that treated areas be inspected at regular intervals to identify the occurrence of insecticide-resistant insects timeously. Bayer (Pty) Ltd will not accept liability for performance failures in the event of a build-up of resistant insects resulting from inadeuate resistance management practices as indicated on the label.

4 To delay insecticide resistance: Avoid exclusive repeated use of insecticides from the same insecticide Group Code. Alternate or tank mix with products from different insecticide Group Codes. Integrate other control methods [chemical, cultural, biological] into insect control programmes. Codling moth resistance management When used to control Codling moth (Cydia pomonella) in pome fruit, a maximum of four Sevin XLR Plus sprays must be applied to a single Codling moth generation. To prevent or delay the development of resistance, products with other modes of action should be applied for the control of the other two generations. If Sevin XLR Plus is used for the control of the last generation of the season a product with another mode of action should be used for the control of the first generation in the next season. For specific information on resistance management contact your local Bayer CropScience representative. DIRECTIONS FOR USE: USE ONLY AS DIRECTED For the period that has to be allowed between last application and harvest or grazing, see WARNINGS. COMPATIBILITY: Sevin XLR Plus is compatible with Planofix (Reg. L531). Do not mix with other chemicals when used for fruit thinning. Do not mix with highly alkaline materials e.g. hydrated lime or lime sulphur. MIXING INSTRUCTIONS: Thoroughly mix the recommended uantity of Sevin XLR Plus with clean as follows : Put approximately half the reuired volume of in the spray tank. Then add the reuired uantity of Sevin XLR Plus as recommended below and top up to the volume of reuired. Ensure thorough mixing. AERIAL APPLICATION: Sevin XLR Plus can be applied aerially on certain crops where this is indicated in the APPLICATION TABLE below. DO NOT COMMENCE AERIAL APPLICATION BEFORE CONSULTING YOUR SEVIN XLR PLUS REPRESENTATIVE. Aerial application may only be done by a registered aerial application operator using a correctly calibrated, registered aircraft according to the instructions of STANSA Code 0118 (Aerial Application of Agricultural Pesticides). It is important to ensure that the spray mixture is distributed evenly over the target area and that the loss of spray material during application is restricted to a minimum. It is therefore essential that the following criteria are met: Euipment: Use suitable atomising euipment (hydraulic nozzles or rotary atomisers) that will produce the desired droplet size and coverage, but which will ensure the minimum loss of product through drift. The operator must use a setup that will produce a droplet spectrum with the lowest possible relative span. All nozzles / atomisers should be positioned within the inner 75 % of the wingspan to prevent droplets from entering the wingtip vortices. Application parameters: A minimum volume of 30 l spray mixture per hectare is recommended. As this product has not been evaluated at a reduced volume rate, the registration holder cannot guarantee efficacy, or be held responsible for any adverse effects if this product is applied aerially at a lower volume rate than recommended above. A droplet coverage of droplets per cm 2 must be recovered at the target. A droplet spectrum with a VMD of microns is recommended. Ensure that the production of fine droplets (smaller than 150 microns) is restricted to a minimum. The height of the spray boom should be maintained at 3-4 metres above the target. Do not spray when aircraft is in a climb, at the top or during a dive, or when banking. Apply before the crop becomes too dense, thus preventing proper coverage of the plants

5 Meteorological conditions: The difference between the wet and dry bulb readings as determined by a whirling hygrometer, must not exceed 8 C. Do not spray under turbulent, unstable conditions during the heat of the day when rising thermals and downdraughts occur. Do not spray under temperature inversion conditions (spraying in or above the inversion layer). Do not spray if the wind speed exceeds 15 km/h. General: Ensure that fields are accurately marked and that the aerial spray operator knows exactly which fields to spray. Obtain an assurance from the aerial spray operator that the above reuirements will be met.

6 APPLICATION TABLE: CROP PESTS OR USE DOSAGE REMARKS APPLES EASY-TO-THIN CULTIVARS e.g., Granny Smith, standard red cultivars and young, vigorous Royal Gala types. Chemical thinning of fruit Use on Granny Smith and young Royal Gala types only under expert guidance and only if conditions do not favour fruit thinning, otherwise overthinning might result. On all of these cultivars Sevin XLR Plus must not be combined with, or sprayed in a programme with other thinning remedies. Refer also to NOTES ml/100 l For early thinning, apply once as a full cover spray in the period between 80 and 100 % petal fall ml/100 l For later thinning, apply once as a full cover spray in the period between 10 and 15 mm fruit diameter. DIFFICULT-TO-THIN CULTIVARS e.g., red spur types, Braeburn, Cripps Red, Cripps Pink, full-bearing Royal Gala types, Golden Delicious types and Fuji types Chemical thinning of fruit Use on Golden Delicious only in areas where fruit russeting is not a problem. Refer also to NOTES ml/100 l For early thinning under conditions that favour fruit thinning, apply once as a full cover spray in the period between 80 and 100 % petal fall. 100 ml Sevin XLR Plus + 11 ml Planofix/100 l Under conditions that do not favour fruit thinning, apply a tank-mixture of Sevin XLR Plus and Planofix (Reg. L531) once as a full cover spray in the period between petal fall and 12 mm fruit diameter ml/100 l As an alternative to the above treatment, if conditions do not favour fruit thinning, a Sevin XLR Plus treatment can be preceded by a Planofix application between petal fall and 5 mm fruit diameter. Follow this with an application of Sevin XLR Plus at mm fruit diameter.

7 APPLES & PEARS (See WARNINGS for varieties that must not be treated). Codling moth NB: See warning against Codling moth resistance under RESISTANCE WARNING. Commence application at the beginning of a moth generation or at 75 % petal fall (in the case of the first generation). Repeat at day intervals for a maximum of four applications. 100 ml/100 l Apply as a full cover spray at 2 weekly intervals. To avoid possible apple thinning use an alternative registered codling moth remedy for the first application, whereafter Sevin XLR Plus can be used. Do not use Sevin XLR Plus within 21 days after full bloom. Leaf rollers When used in a codling moth programme, Sevin XLR Plus will control leaf rollers. However, where a single treatment is reuired, the dosage must be increased as prescribed. Apply as full cover spray when pest is noticed. Pear bud mite 100 ml/100 l When used in a codling moth programme, Sevin XLR Plus will control pear bud mite provided an additional treatment is carried out by the 3rd week of November as a full cover spray. Mealybugs Apply as a full cover spray. Commence treatment early December and follow-up with 1-2 additional treatments depending on the degree of infestation. These treatments will coincide with the normal Codling moth programme. Do not apply later than mid- January, as later applications will not control this pest satisfactorily. CASTOR OIL Castor oil looper (Achaea spp.) L.V.: Commence spraying when infestation is first noticed. COTTON Red & Spiny bollworm, Stainers, Elegant grasshoppers, Syagrus beetles, Aphids, Leafhoppers, Leaf-eaters (Anomis, Xanthodes) Tailboom: ml/100 l Aerial application: to ml/ha Commence cotton spraying when first buds or "suares" appear and continue treatments at 7-10 day intervals until the first bolls open. Respray if 13 mm or more rain falls within 24 hours of treatment. For tailboom apply l of the spray mixture per ha depending on plant size. Apply 1,325 l/ha to cotton up to 60 cm in height or approximately 50-60% canopy and thereafter 2,65 l /ha in not less than 30 l /ha. (See detailed instructions above).

8 FIELD CROPS Elegant grasshoppers Apply preferably to young stages. Army worm 550 ml/ha LV.: Apply as a cover spray and commence treatment as soon as infestation is noticed. Aerial application: Apply in not less than 30 l /ha. Refer to AERIAL APPLICATION. GRAPES (Table and wine) Weevils (snoutbeetles) When applied against mealybugs, Sevin XLR Plus will assist in the control of vine weevils. Mealybugs Commence spraying as soon as pest is noticed at the bases of young shoots. Repeat application every 3 weeks if necessary. LAWNS Lawn caterpillar 800 ml/100 l Apply as a full cover application LITCHI, MACADAMIA NUT & PECAN NUT TREES Stem and bark borers 450 ml/100 l Apply approximately 50 ml of spray mix directly into each tunnel by means of a knapsack applicator for control of stem borer or spray the lesions for bark borer control. Do not spray the whole tree. Treat only the affected areas on the stem. LUCERNE Lucerne caterpillar to ml/ha Dosage depends on stand and plant size. L.V.: Full cover application. Aerial application: Apply in not less than 30 l /ha. Refer to AERIAL APPLICATION. MAIZE Maize chafer beetles Apply as a full cover spray and repeat when necessary. PRICKLY PEAR & SPINELESS CACTUS (Opuntia spp.) Cactoblastis cactorum 300 ml/100 l Apply as a coarse spray by means of a knapsack sprayer fitted with D5 nozzles. Add a wetting agent. Spray whole plant surface to point of run off, especially egg sticks. Commence treatment during egg stage (two generations/year) i.e. for the Karoo area, normally during the first two weeks of March and November. For other areas treatment should commence after oviposition (egg-laying) peak, but before hatching of eggs. Cochineal (Dactylopius spp.) 300 ml/100 l Apply as for Cactoblastis. Commence treatment when infestation is noticed and repeat if necessary.

9 TOBACCO American bollworm, Tobacco slug Ground application: Do not use against Tobacco slug if tobacco plants are fully grown. H.V.: Apply as full cover application as soon as pest is noticed. Aerial application: ml/ha Apply as soon as pest is noticed in not less than 30 l /ha. Refer to AERIAL APPLICATION. HIDES & SKINS Dermestid hide and skin beetle larvae 450 ml/100 l Apply generously as a coarse spray or by means of a paint brush to hides & skins as well as to sheltering places such as sacking and cracks and crevices in floors and walls. Pay special attention to the flesh side of hides. Five litres will be sufficient to treat approximately 50 skins or 15 hides. NOTES : 1. Expert advice should be sought when using Sevin XLR Plus for the first time to thin apples. 2. Apple tree reaction to chemical fruit thinners is dependent on many interacting variables such as the degree of thinning reuired, environmental conditions, cultivar, rootstock, tree age, tree shape and the use of other thinning agents. Local knowledge of the abovementioned factors is essential if the desired result is to be attained. 3. Sevin XLR Plus must not be used on Golden Delicious strains in areas where retiform russeting is a problem. 4. On Royal Gala up to 5 years old, apply only a single fruit thinning treatment of Planofix or Sevin 850 WP or Sevin XLR Plus. RAADPLEEG DIE VERSKAFFER IN DIE GEVAL VAN ENIGE ONSEKERHEID. VOORSORGMAATREëLS: Vermy langdurige of herhaaldelike velkontak met konsentraat of spuitmengsel. Moenie die sproeinewel inasem nie. Dra gesigskerm en rubber handskoene tydens hantering van die produk. Was besoedelde klere daagliks. Was met seep en na hantering of velkontak. Moenie eet, drink of rook tydens vermenging of toediening of voordat hande en gesig gewas is nie. Verhoed besoedeling van voedsel, eetgerei, voer en drink. Verhoed wegdrywing na ander gewasse, weidings, riviere, damme of ander gebiede wat nie behandel word nie. Sodra die houer leeg is keer dit om oor die spuittenk of mengbak en dreineer vir minstens 30 sekondes nadat die vloei tot n gedrup verminder het. Spoel die houer daarna driekeer uit met n volume gelyk aan mintens n tiende van die houer en gooi die spoel by die inhoud van die spuittenk. Vernietig die houer vernietig word deur gate daarin te maak en te begrawe of te verbrand. Moenie die houer vir enige ander doel gebruik nie. SIMPTOME VAN VERGIFTIGING: Speekselvloei, tranerige oë, speldepunt oogkykers, belemmerde sig, spierswakheid, asemhalingsnood, oormatige sweetafskeiding, maagkrampe, mislikheid, braking, maagwerking, swakheid, hoofpyn. In ernstige gevalle mag stuiptrekkings, bewusteloosheid en n gebrek aan asemhaling voorkom. NOODHULPBEHANDELING: Verwyder die persoon van die oorsaak van vergiftiging, stel hom gerus en hou stil. Verwyder besoedelde klere en spoel besmette liggaamsdele deeglik met voldoende seep en koue af. Moenie die vel hard vrywe nie. Besmette oë moet vir minstens 15 minute uitgespoel word. Indien ingesluk, moenie iets per mond aan n bewustelose persoon of persoon met stuiptrekkings toedien nie. Indien persoon by sy volle bewussyn is en nie stuiptrekkings kry nie, drink 1 tot 2 glase en veroorsaak braking deur die agterste gedeelte van die keel te prikkel met u vinger. Herhaal totdat braaksel helder is en nie langer na gif ruik nie. n Geneesheer moet onmiddellik ontbied word of die pasiënt moet onmiddellik na die naaste hospitaal of geneesheer vervoer word, afhangende wat die vinnigste is en hulle moet van vergiftiging verwittig word. Toon hierdie etiket aan geneesheer. INLIGTING AAN GENEESHEER: Sevin XLR Plus (karbariel) is n oksiemkarbamaat wat n redelik omkeerbare cholienesterase onderdrukker is. Wanneer ingesluk mag maagspoeling toegepas word. Spesifieke behandeling sluit in atropiensulfaat. Vermeerder die suurstofvlak van weefsel so veel moontlik voordat atropiensulfaat toegedien word om die risiko van ventrikulêre fibrillasie te beperk. By minder ernstige gevalle van oorblootstelling moet 1 tot 2 mg atropiensulfaat elke 10 minute binne-spiers toegedien word totdat pasiënt ten volle geatropiniseerd is (droë gloeiende vel en tagikardie voorkom) en moet behandeling herhaal word sodra simptome weer verskyn. In ernstige gevalle moet 2 tot 4 mg atropiensulfaat elke 10 minute binne-aars toegedien en daarna elke 30 tot 50 minute binne-spiers soos benodig word om die effek vir minstens 12 ure te volhou. Die dosis vir kinders kan toepaslik verminder word. Algehele herstel van n te hoë blootstelling kan binne 24 uur verwag word. Moenie verdowings- en kalmeermiddels gebruik nie. Ander middels soos 2-PAM word NIE aanbeveel nie.

12 WEERSTANDSWAARSKUWING: Vir weerstandsbestuur is Sevin XLR Plus as n Groepkode 1A insekdoder geklassifiseer. Enige populasie van n spesifieke insek mag individue insluit wat n natuurlike weerstand teen Sevin XLR Plus, of enige ander Groepkode 1A insekdoder het. Indien hierdie insekdoders herhaaldelik aangewend word, kan die weerstandbiedende individue uiteindelik die insekpopulasie oorheers. Hierdie weerstandbiedende insekte sal moontlik nie deur Sevin XLR Plus of enige ander Groepkode 1A insekdoder, beheer word nie. Aangesien die voorkoms van weerstandbiedende insekte moeilik is om te bepaal voor insekdodertoediening plaasvind, is dit uiters noodsaaklik dat behandelde gebiede met gereelde intervalle ondersoek word om weerstand vroegtydig te identifiseer. Bayer (Edms) Bpk. sal nie verantwoordelikheid aanvaar vir enige gebrek aan prestasie in die geval van die opbou van weerstand in die insekte as gevolg van onvoldoende insekbestandheidsbestuur soos aangedui op die etiket nie. Om weerstand teen insekdoders te vertraag: Vermy die eksklusiewe herhaaldelike gebruik van insekdoders in dieselfde insekdodergroepkode. Wissel af met, of gebruik tenkmengsels van produkte in verskillende insekdodergroepkodes. Integreer ander beheermaatreëls (chemies, verbouing, biologies) in insekbeheerprogramme. Kodlingmot weerstandsbestuur Wanneer gebruik word om Kodlingmot (Cydia pomonella) in steenvrugte te beheer, moet n maksimum van vier Sevin XLR Plus bespuitings toegedien word op een enkel Kodlingmot generasie. Om die ontwikkeling van weerstand te verhoed of te vertraag, is dit raadsaam om produkte met n ander metode van werking te gebruik vir die beheer van die ander twee generasies. Indien Sevin XLR Plus gebruik is vir die beheer van die laaste generasie van die seisoen, moet n produk met n ander metode van werking gebruik word vir die beheer van die eerste generasie in die volgende seisoen. GEBRUIKSAANWYSINGS: GEBRUIK SLEGS SOOS AANGEDUI Sien WAARSKUWINGS aangaande die tydsduur wat moet verloop tussen laaste behandeling en oes of beweiding. VERENIGBAARHEID: Sevin XRL Plus is verenigbaar met Planofix (Reg. L531). Moenie met ander middels meng wanneer gebruik word vir vruguitdunning nie. Moenie vermeng met hoogs alkaliese middels b.v. gebluste kalk of kalkswael nie. MENGINSTRUKSIES: Meng die aanbevole hoeveelheid Sevin XLR Plus deeglik met skoon soos volg : Voeg eers ongeveer die helfte van die totale volume in die spuittenk. Voeg dan die hoeveelheid Sevin XLR Plus soos hieronder aangedui by en daarna die oorblywende volume soos benodig. Sorg dat die mengsel deeglik gemeng word. LUGTOEDIENING: Sevin XLR Plus kan d.m.v. lugbespuiting toegedien word op sekere gewasse soos in die TOEDIENINGSTABEL hieronder aangedui. MOENIE LUGBESPUITING BEGIN VOORDAT U U SEVIN XLR PLUS VERTEENWOORDIGER GESPREEK HET NIE. Lugtoediening mag slegs deur n geregistreerde lugbespuitingsoperateur met n korrek gekalibreerde, geregistreerde vliegtuig volgens die instruksies van STANSA Kode 0118 (Aerial Application of Agricultural Pesticides) gedoen word. Dit is belangrik om te verseker dat die spuitmengsel eweredig oor die teikenarea versprei word en dat die verlies aan spuitmengsel tydens toediening tot n minimum beperk word. Dit is dus belangrik om aan die volgende kriteria te voldoen:

13 Toerusting: Gebruik geskikte atomiseringsapparaat (hidroliese of roterende spuitkoppe) wat die vereiste druppelgrootte en bedekking sal produseer, maar wat die minste verlies van produk deur wegdrywing sal verseker. Die operateur moet n stelsel gebruik wat n druppelspektrum met die kleinste moontlike relatiewe span sal produseer. Al die spuitneuse/atomiseerders moet in die binneste 75 % van die vlerkspan geplaas word om die beweging van druppels in die vlerkvorteks in te verhoed. Toedieningsparameters: n Minimum volume van 30 l spuitmengsel per hektaar word aanbeveel. Aangesien hierdie produk nie teen n verlaagde volume getoets is nie, kan die registrasiehouer nie effektiwiteit waarborg, of verantwoordelik gehou word vir enige nadelige effek indien hierdie produk teen n laer volume as hierbo aanbeveel, uit die lug toegedien word nie. n Druppelbedekking van druppels per cm 2 moet op die teikenarea herwin word. n Druppelspektrum met n VMD van mikron word aanbeveel. Verseker dat die produksie van fyn druppels (kleiner as 150 mikron) tot n minimum beperk word. Die hoogte van die spuitbalk moet op 3-4 meter bo die teiken gehandhaaf word. Moenie spuit wanneer die vliegtuig aan die bopunt is van, of tydens n duik, of terwyl dit uitklim of draai nie. Dien toe voordat die gewas te ruig word wat sal verhoed dat plante behoorlik bedek word. Meteorologiese toestande : Die verskil tussen die nat- en droëbollesing, soos met n swaaihigrometer bepaal, moet nie 8 C oorskry nie. Moenie toedien tydens turbulente, onstabiele toestande gedurende die hitte van die dag wanneer styg en dalende konveksie windbeweging plaasvind nie. Moenie toedien onder temperatuur inversie toestande (deur bo of binne die inversielaag te spuit) nie. Moenie spuit indien die windspoed 15 km/uur oorskry nie. Algemeen : Sorg dat die lande akkuraat gemerk is en die spuitoperateur presies weet watter lande gespuit moet word. Verkry n versekering van die spuitoperateur dat aan die bogenoemde vereistes voldoen sal word. L531) eenkeer toe as n voldekbespuiting in die periode tussen blomblaarval en 12 mm vrugdeursnit ml/100 l As n alternatief tot die program hierbo beskryf, wanneer omstandighede ongunstig is vir vruguitdunning, kan n Planofix behandeling vóór die Sevin XLR Plus behandeling toegedien word in die periode tussen blomblaarval en 5 mm vrugdeursnit. Daarna word die Sevin XLR Plus behandeling toegedien by mm vrugdeursnit.

15 APPELS & PERE (Verwys na WAARSWUWINGS vir variёteite wat nie behandel moet word nie). Kodlingmot LW: Sien waarskuwing teen bestandheid van Kodlingmot onder WEERSTANDSWAAR- SKUWING. Begin toedien met die aanvang van n motgenerasie of tydens 75 % blomblaarval (in die geval van die eerste generasie). Herhaal met dae tussenpose vir n maksimum van vier toedienings. 100 ml/100 l Dien toe as n voldekbespuiting met 2 weeklikse tussenpose. Om moontlike appeluitdunning te voorkom gebruik 'n alternatiewe geregistreerde kodlingmotmiddel tydens die eerste toediening, en gebruik Sevin XLR Plus daaropvolgend. Moenie Sevin XLR Plus binne 21 na volblomstadium gebruik nie. Bladrollers Sevin XLR Plus soos aangewend vir kodlingmot sal bladrollers terselfdertyd beheer. Indien 'n enkele bespuiting verlang word moet die dosis verhoog word soos voorgeskryf. Dien toe as 'n voldekbespuiting sodra besmetting opgemerk word. Peerknopmyt 100 ml/100 l Sevin XLR Plus soos aangewend in 'n kodlingmotspuitprogram sal ook peerknopmyt beheer mits 'n bykomende behandeling gedurende die derde week van November, toegedien word. Witluis Voldekbespuiting. Dien eerste bespuiting vroeg in Desember toe en volg op met een of twee bykomende behandelings, afhangende van die graad van besmetting. Hierdie bespuitings sal saamval met die normale kodlingmotprogram. Moenie later as middel Januarie toedien nie aangesien hierdie bespuitings dan nie die plaag doeltreffend sal beheer nie. DRUIWE (Tafel- en wyn-) Kalanders (Snuitkewers) Sevin XLR Plus soos toegedien vir Witluis sal terselfdertyd beheer van kalanders aanhelp. Gee veral aandag aan die vleiskant van huide. Vyf liter sal ongegeveer 50 velle of 15 huide behandel. NOTAS : 1. Wanneer Sevin XLR Plus vir die eerste keer vir appeluitdunning toegedien word, moet deskundige advies ingewin word. 2. Die reaksie van chemiese vruguitdunningsmiddels op appelbome is afhanklik van baie faktore wat op mekaar n wisselwerking uitoefen bv. omgewingstoestande, kultivar, onderstam, boomouderdom, boomfatsoen en die gebruik van ander vruguitdunningsmiddels. Plaaslike kennis van bogenoemde faktore is noodsaaklik indien die verlangde resultate bereik wil word. 3.
