3 3 WARNINGS: a) ALLOW 30 DAYS BETWEEN LAST APPLICATION AND HARVEST OF CITRUS FRUIT. b) ALLOW 28 DAYS BETWEEN LAST APPLICATION AND HARVEST ON LITCHIS AND MANGOES. c) ALLOW 21 DAYS BETWEEN LAST APPLICATION AND HARVEST ON APPLES, PEARS AND PEACHES. NOTE: The recommended withholding period between last application and harvest meets local residue requirements but may not meet export requirements. If the treated crop is intended for the export market, consult the relevant exporting body before application of the product, regarding pre-harvest interval requirements. Store in a cool place away from food and feeds. Keep out of reach of children, uninformed persons and animals. RE-ENTRY: Do not enter treated area until spray deposit has dried unless wearing protective clothing. CONSULT THE SUPPLIER IN THE EVENT OF ANY UNCERTAINTY. PRECAUTIONS: Do not inhale the spraymist. Wash with soap and water after use. Avoid drift of spray on to other crops, grazing, rivers, dams and areas not under treatment. Clean applicator thoroughly after use. Dispose of wash water where it will not contaminate food, grazing or water. Rinse empty container three times with a volume water equal to at least one tenth of that of the container and add the rinsings to the contents of the spray tank before disposing of the container in the prescribed manner. Destroy empty container by perforation and flattening and never use for any other purpose. Prevent contamination of food, feedstuffs, drinking water and eating utensils. RESISTANCE MANAGEMENT: For resistance management, Alsystin 480 SC is a group code 15 insecticide. Any insect population may contain individuals naturally resistant to Alsystin 480 SC and other group code 15 insecticides. The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the insect population if these insecticides are used repeatedly. These resistant insects may not be controlled by Alsystin 480 SC or any other group code 15 insecticides.

4 4 To delay insecticide resistance: Avoid exclusive repeated use of insecticides from the same insecticide group code. Alternate with products from different insecticide group codes. Integrate other control methods (chemical, cultural, biological) into insect control programs. For specific information on resistance management contact the registration holder of this product. DIRECTIONS FOR USE: USE ONLY AS DIRECTED Alsystin 480 SC is an insect growth regulator which interferes with chitin synthesis and interrupts the larval moulting process. No harmful effects against a range of beneficial insects have been observed. MIXING INSTRUCTIONS: Half fill the spray tank with water, pour the required volume of Alsystin 480 SC into the tank. Top up with water while agitating. Keep chemical in continuous suspension during application by means of agitation. The mixture must be sprayed out immediately and not allowed to stand in the spray tank for long periods. Crop/Pest Dosage Remarks CITRUS: False codling moth 10 ml/100 l water Apply as cover applications in a 2 spray preventive pro- (Cryptophlebia followed by 10 ml/100 gramme. Repeat at 14 day intervals for a maximum of four applications. To prevent or delay the development of resistance, products with other modes of action should be applied for the control of the other two generations of codling moth. If Alsystin 480 SC is used for the control of the last generation of the season a product with another mode of action should be used for the control of the first generation in the next season. NOTE: Alsystin 480 SC acts on newly deposited eggs and young larval stages of the pest, therefore applications should commence early in the life cycle. Verhoed wegdrywing van spuitstof na ander gewasse, weiding, riviere, damme of areas nie onder behandeling nie. Maak spuitapparaat deeglik skoon na gebruik. Raak ontslae van uitspoelwater waar dit nie gewasse, riviere en damme kan besoedel nie. Spoel leë houer drie keer uit met 'n volume water gelyk aan ten minste een tiende van dié van die houer en voeg die uitspoelwater by die inhoud van die spuittenk voordat van die houer op die voorgeskrewe metode ontslae geraak word. Vernietig leë houer deur gate in te maak en plat te slaan. Moet vir geen ander doel weer gebruik nie. Voorkom besoedeling van voedsel, voer, drinkwater en eetgerei. WEERSTANDSBESTUUR: Alsystin 480 SC is n groepkode 15 insekdoder. Enige populasie van n spesifieke insek mag individue

8 8 insluit wat n natuurlike weerstand teen Alsystin 480 SC of enige ander groepkode 15 insekdoder het. Indien hierdie insekdoders herhaaldelik aangewend word kan die weerstandbiedende individue uiteindelik die insekpopulasie oorheers. Hierdie weerstandbiedende insekte sal waarskynlik nie deur Alsystin 480 SC of enige ander groepkode 15 insekdoder beheer word nie. Om weerstand teen insekdoders te vertraag: Vermy die eksklusiewe herhaaldelike gebruik van insekdoders in dieselfde insekdoder groepkode. Wissel af met produkte in verskillende insekdoder groepkodes. Integreer ander beheermaatreëls (chemies, verbouing, biologies) in insekbeheer programme. Vir spesifieke inligting oor weerstandsbestuur kontak die registrasiehouer van hierdie produk. GEBRUIKSAANWYSINGS: GEBRUIK SLEGS SOOS AANGEDUI. Alsystin 480 SC is 'n insekgroeireguleerder wat inmeng met chitiensintese en die vervellingsproses onderbreek. Geen skadelike uitwerking teen nuttige insekte is aangetref nie. MENGINSTRUKSIES: Maak die spuittenk half-vol met water. Giet die verlangde volume Alsystin 480 SC in die tenk. Vul aan met water terwyl geroer word. Hou die chemikalie in aanhoudende suspensie d.m.v. roering tydens toediening. Die mengsel moet onmiddellik uitgespuit word en nie toegelaat word om vir lang periodes in die tenk te staan nie. Gewas/Plaag Toedieningshoeveelheid Opmerkings SITRUS: Valskodlingmot 10 ml/100 l water Dien toe as 2 dekbespuitings in n voorkomende program. (Cryptophlebia gevolg deur 10 ml/100 Bespuit die bome gedurende die eerste week in Desember leucotreta) l water en herhaal toediening gedurende die eerste week in Februarie. OF 20 ml/100 l water Dien toe as 'n enkele dekbespuiting gedurende die eerste helfte van Januarie. NOTA: Alsystin 480 SC werk in op pas-gelegde eiers en jong larfstadia van die plaag, daarom moet toedienings vroeg in die lewenssiklus 'n aanvang neem.
