5 STUNTING CHRONIC MALNUTRITION - A blind spot, not recognised outside the nutrition communities Chronic malnutrition results in stunting, or reduced growth in height, and means that a child has persistently not received adequate nutrition. Adequate nutrition in terms of protein amount and type; fat origin e.g. PUFA; vitamins e.g. vitamin A, D and minerals like Fe, Zn, Ca & P. 5

Improve immune system. Improve a child s school-readiness and educational achievement.
