1 Some interesting facts about Slimming The first step is to take is too start and set a goal for yourself. Then be patient.there is no quick fix and you have to take day by day. Gain radiant health in exchange for fatigue and poor self-image and invest in Longevity. You don t have to be good to start but you have to start to be good. Life is short - make the most of who you are, and what you have and you are who you choose to be. What you eat today you will wear tomorrow. Never ever skip a meal. Eat organic/natural foods Avoid processed foods Prepare food at home Eat basic menus with meat, salads and vegetables Water is Essential for efficient metabolism and body systems DRINK 30 ml of pure water per kg of body mass. (For example, a 50 kg person sould drink 50 x 30ml per day = 1.5 litres. MINIMISE the intake of alcohol, coffee and normal tea. (Alcohol acts as a diuretic and thus dehydrates the body.) Drink herbal teas and especially add a cup off green tea a day. THIRST is a late indicator of the need to drink we should therefore drink throughout the day and not just when we feel thirsty! Take a glass of water and add 9 teaspoons of sugar, drink it! You've just consumed the equivalent amount of sugar in a soft drink or fruit juice (or many foods)... it's way too concentrated. This sugar rush makes you hungrier, you crave more sugar & carbs, your blood sugar spikes, insulin releases and your body moves to fat storage mode. Pretty soon your focus is shot (plus you get moody) and your taste buds are numbed to the real taste of good food as your body demands more of the wrong source of fuel from the first bite - added sugar & refined carbs are a problem! In life you earn your holidays, often you work for months before a holiday when you have a goal, or at least 5 days a week before you earn your weekend off. If you want sugar then you need to earn it... you need to eat clean food for days, weeks or months before you indulge. All holidays end and its time to get back to work... the same goes with sugar. Earn it, enjoy it, stop and reset. The food industry adds extra sugar and sweetness to everything (to the maximum bliss point)... you could easily be eating 40 spoons of sugar a day while trying to make good choices. Bread is a filler that has very little nutritional value, it spikes your blood sugar and insulin, it causes stomach distress, it's high in carbs or refined ingredients but mainly when you stop bread you have to ask the question, what do I eat now? The answer is anything from nature, closer to nature's package (with fiber). Eat loads of veg, it can be raw, steamed, microwaved, roasted, fried in a pan... just get loads of veg in your diet. Fruits & nuts are great in limited quantities.
