We believe quality tastes better by using ingredients from natural origin, and healthy doesn t mean compromising taste. It s why natural ingredients cost a premium to their artificial alternatives. And that s why we use only natural flavors. NO ARTIFICIAL SWEETENERS Aspartame, Acesulfame Potassium (Ace K), Sucralose, Advantame, Saccharin, or any other artificial sweetener will never be found in any SYGENIX product. We only use sweeteners from natural origin. One sweetener we use (Thaumatin from the katemfe fruit) costs over $3,000 USD per kilogram. Fortunately Thaumatin is over 2,000 times sweeter than sugar, so only a minuscule amount is required. We could save a small fortune if we switched to artificial sweeteners, but this would compromise our values of Quality before Profits. NO ARTIFICIAL COLORS We don t follow the industry norm of using artificial colors simply because they are a cheaper alternative to natural colors. NO SATURATED FATS OR TRANS FATS Non-Dairy Creamers are commonly used in the supplements industry to add a creamy mouth feel to your whey protein shake and/or aid in solubility. It s what makes a protein shake heavier in taste by emulating the look, feel and flavor of cream. Ironically the term non-dairy creamer is an oxymoron because you can t have cream without dairy. In the absence of dairy, supplement companies use oils that contain saturated and trans fat. DENATURED PROTEIN Denatured protein is processed at high temperatures which denatures and damages critical immuno supportive compounds and amino acids. Denatured whey protein is processed at high temperature above 160 degrees Fahrenheit (72 degrees Celsius) to achieve pasteurization. High heat and denaturing processing are the quickest and cheapest ways to dry protein. However, it should also be noted that extreme heat is the worst drying process for proteins because it ruptures ( denatures ) and reforms the natural protein bonds into cross-links. This slows down the digestion and absorption process because these cross-linked proteins have thousands more bonds for the enzymes in your intestines to break down. Because it takes longer for the amino acids to reach the muscles, it causes about a 65% less nitrogen retention. SYGENIX proteins are undenatured to preserve the bio-availability of amino acids through ultrafiltered, low temperature, cold processing which leaves the polypeptide chains and immunoglobulins intact.
