Interpretation Of Your Testing Results Prepared for JANE DOE Hello JANE, The data contained in this report is the interpretation of 2 of your recent tests: 1. Blood Chemistry 2. Metabolic Typing Report 3. Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA) Blood Chemistry Interpretation: Blood chemistry interpretation is both an art and a science. It is important to understand that laboratory reference ranges are merely statistical averages, and cannot be used to determine ideal values. The blood chemistry factor reference ranges I use in my practice are the result of empirical observations. These ranges have been refined over several years. These ranges are based upon the analysis of several hundred blood tests, as well as the shared and agreed upon ranges created by other clinicians. Further, it is more important to understand the functional relationships between various blood chemistry factors for the assessment of physiological function, instead of relying upon high or low values for individual blood chemistry factors. Your blood test has revealed the following: Low Cholesterol: Cholesterol is an essential anti-inflammatory lipid. Additionally, cholesterol is sufficient for bile and bile acids. Bile and bile acids are essential for digestion and detoxification, as bile contains conjugated toxins, and is needed for the digestion of fats and fat-soluble vitamins. Cholesterol can also be used by the body as a protective mechanism from toxins and free radical activity.
The cholesterol in the blood is not active cholesterol, as it is bound to lipo-proteins. Only cholesterol available in the cells and tissues is free and active. An inverted LDL/HDL ratio indicates a decrease in cholesterol activity, and as such, indicates a greater need for cholesterol. Additionally, low cellular cholesterol may indicate increased inflammatory activity, increased toxicity, a greater need for bile acids, and a decrease in steroidal hormone synthesis. Likely GI Inflammation - Elevated eosinophils, 9 (ideal 0-3) & monocytes, 8. GI Inflammation can cause systemic inflammation as well as GI symptoms. Parasitic Infection May be Present - Reflected in elevated eosinophils. Eosinophils appear elevated often in response to intestinal parasites. Elevated Iron Suggests Possible Iron Overload Secondary to infection. Pathogens and viruses tend to harbor iron and disrupt iron proteins. Possible B-6 Deficiency - Low ALT <15 suggests B-6 deficiency is possible. B-6 is essential for many essential functions related to: Hormone synthesis Brain neurotransmitters Energy production in your cells Red blood cell formation Possible Bile Deficiency & Gall Bladder Insufficiency - Elevated Bilirubin with low tissue cholesterol. Bile is essential for detoxification and for the assimilation of fats & fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, K. Dietary Protein Deficiency - A decreased BUN is strongly reflective of a dietary protein deficiency. Protein is an essential macro-nutrient needed for: Liver function & detoxification DNA and RNA synthesis Cellular and tissue repair Brain function Neurotransmitter synthesis Blood sugar regulation
Metabolic Typing Analysis is based upon more than 35 years of clinical research. Based upon hundreds of case studies and empirical observations, I firmly believe that Metabolic Typing is the best method for identifying one s ideal type of diet. There are no such things as one size fits all dietary approaches. What makes Metabolic Typing so unique, is that it is the identification of the most fundamental metabolic tendencies, which have the greatest influence over energy production from food and nutrient factors. The graphic below reveals your Metabolic Typing results. Your DOMINANCE is your primary Metabolic Type. Your Metabolic Typing results indicate:parasympathetic Dominance Parasympathetic dominance is a strong Protein Type characteristic. Parasympathetic dominant Protein Types may have excessive parasympathetic activities: low blood pressure, low blood sugar, histamine reactions, alternating diarrhea and constipation. Parasympathetic dominants require more protein and fat, relative to carbohydrates. Specifically, the type of protein foods recommended for you are the higher purine and adenine rich proteins. Purines and adenine are nucleo-proteins found in organ meats, red meat, the dark meat of poultry and oily fatty fish like sardines and salmon.
The X marks approximately where your Metabolic Type falls on the Spectrum of Possibilities for Human Metabolism chart. X It is important to understand that your Metabolic Type can change over time, and as such re-evaluation is recommended every 3-4 months. Understanding your body s physiological tendencies through signs and symptoms analysis can provide you with a great tool for self evaluation.

Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA) Results HTMA is a unique biopsy which reveals the patterns of mineral and metal deposition into your hair tissues over a 3-4 month period of time. Through this biopsy, we are able to track clues regarding adrenal and hormone activity, toxic metal mobilization, digestive functions, and other activities. HTMA is best monitored over several tests in order to obtain specific information about how your body progresses, excretes toxic metals and responds to protocols and therapies. Your HTMA results indicate: A trend towards low thyroid activity as reflected in an elevated Ca/K ratio A trend towards adrenal distress as reflected in a low Na/K ratio A trend for longterm adrenal distress as reflected in both significantly decreased sodium and potassium values Presence aluminum toxicity Its important to address that the best way to track and understand HTMA is over several tests, done every 3-4 months.
