4 Binders 100 Acrylic Binders GL-618 AC-1230M B-959 I-2183N I-1955 I-2350 Anionic Excellent hot and wet tensile strength, outstanding mechanical stability, low foaming and excellent chemical stability. Anionic Excellent heat stability and runnability. Particularly effective in applications where thermal setting is desired. Anionic Self-crosslinking polymer provides excellent strength and solvent resistance to both durable and disposable nonwovens. Also has excellent wet and dry tensile strength with excellent mechanical stability. Anionic Modified aqueous acrylic polymer for use as an overprint varnish and general ink letdown vehicle. Hard film former offers superior heat resistance without the use of zinc or zirconium additives, and has excellent transfer and printability. Anionic Aqueous, acrylic alkali soluble emulsion polymer, supplied unneutralized. Readily neutralized, highly dilutable and can be used as sole vehicle or letdown resin. Because of its flat solids/viscosity profile, it is especially recommended for corrugated substrates. May be used in formulations with high levels of extender pigments. Anionic Versatile, aqueous all-acrylic offers good scuff resistance, higher inherent COF, very good heat resistance, excellent clarity over offset inks and good film gloss. SP-100 P-554 B-60A B-15J Anionic self-crosslinking acrylic binder. Ultra-low formaldehyde, alkylphenol ethoxylate-free, self reactive latex. Offers mechanical stability, runnability and when catalysed with potassium hydroxide will crosslink at temperatures above 320 F without generating foam. It is carboxcyl functional, therefore, can react external with crosslinkers at lower temperatures. Anionic Clay-reactive acrylic binder imparts water resistance to coatings, even when formulated with significant levels of starch. Forms a network with clays through ionic interaction which results in a strong, waterresistant coating. Effective with many different clays and starch systems. Excellent flexographic and rotogravure printability. Nonionic Non-reactive specialty binder. Excellent color stability. Recommended for applications where clarity and resistance to discoloration are desired. Anionic Crosslinkable acrylic binder with excellent mechanical stability and runnability. Recommended for general coatings applications where strength, durability, and flexibility are required. 5 Binders Vinyl Acrylic Binders 3103NP Anionic Vinyl acrylic latex with excellent pick resistance, opacity and rheology properties for paperboard coatings Anionic Large particle size latex contributes to improved optical properties. Recommended for many paperboard applications requiring a balance of strength, printability, enhanced optical coverage and glueability. No alkyl phenol ethoxylates used in the manufacture of this product Nonionic Compatible with additives commonly used in paper coating formulations. Good mechanical stability and superior rheology. Developed for paper coating applications where improvement in rheology properties is required, along with improved ink and varnish holdout. Alkali-Swellable Vinyl Acrylic Binder 3250 Vinyl Acetate Binders 2149A Anionic Designed to help replace natural binders such as casein and protein. Contributes good gloss and balanced ink receptivity. A cost-efficient alternative to natural binders that is easy to handle and formulate. Can help reduce the risk of bacterial contamination commonly associated with natural binders. Anionic Carboxylated PVAc with excellent mechanical stability and very low grit levels. Fine particle size with good pigment binding ability and water resistance. Provides excellent ink receptivity, glueability, brightness, and has very low odor. Recommended for applications where superior runnability is required. Anionic Carboxylated PVAc with excellent mechanical stability and very low grit levels. Rheology Modifiers ASE-75 ASE-95NP ASE-108NP E-2961 TT-935 RM-232D Anionic Alkali-swellable acrylic emulsion. High solids, general purpose rheology modifier with a good balance of thickening efficiency and water holding. Recommended for applications where coat weight build or high solids coating is desired. Anionic High molecular weight alkali-swellable acrylic emulsion. Recommended for specialty applications or in conjunction with other Acrysol thickeners to build viscosity at high shear rates. Not recommended as primary thickener in most applications. Anionic Alkali-swellable acrylic emulsion. Excellent balance of water holding and thickening efficiency. Particularly effective at helping build coat weights. Best suited for low-shear applications. Anionic Preneutralized alkali-swellable emulsion which requires no adjustment. Provides a good combination of thickening efficiency and water holding. Excellent for heavy paper and paperboard applications where heavy coat weights are common. Anionic Hydrophobically modified alkali-swellable emulsion (HASE). Good combination of efficiency and water holding. Provides excellent runnability in high-speed coating applications. Particularly good in light-weight coatings and under conditions of high shear. Anionic Hydrophobically modified alkali-swellable emulsion (HASE) supplied as a shear-stable, low-foam emulsion. Relatively high (as supplied) facilitates formulating into a coating with minimal shock. Good combination of efficiency and water holding; provides excellent runnability in high speed coating applications. Particularly good in light weight coatings and under conditions of high shear.

At high use levels, may perform as sole duller in finishing compositions, offering exceptional soft-touch aesthetics, clarity and burnish resistance. At lower levels, may be used in combination with conventional silica dullers, imparting very low gloss and high abrasive wear resistance. Prepared without use of NMP or other solvents. Resists settling during storage. May be used for overprint varnish.
