1 Compatibility of NTS products Important: This information has been collated from NTS Head Office compatibility testing using local tap water. It is essential that this information is used as a guide only. All mixes, even those specified as compatible, may or may not be compatible depending on dilution rate, mixing order, additional inputs and water properties. All mixes will need to be jar-tested prior to full-scale mixing. NTS accepts no responsibility for, or liability for any failure in performance, losses, damaged, or injuries (consequential or otherwise), arising from storage, mixing, application, or use. Jar Test Protocol: Mix the intended product combination in a jar (using the intended application dilution rates and the same water as will be used for the full-scale mixing) and let sit for around 1 hour to assess compatibility. Take note of the order of addition. If any reaction occurs or sediment is formed, the mix is incompatible. In dark coloured mixes, spoon out a small quantity of the mix to look for sediment. If no incompatibility is seen, repeat mixing order for full-scale mix. Sediments that pass : A second check of many of the compatibilities show that sediments will form, indicating some form of reaction with the products, they have been marked as Sediment passes. These mixes will pass through a 75 micron screen, but due to the reaction they may not be plant available forms of the intended minerals. If used for spraying, they must be mixed and agitated as the sediment does settle to the bottom. Legend: Compatible = the mixture is fully compatible and good for spraying Not Compatible = the mixture reacts to an extent that it is unusable Sediment passes = as explained in above paragraph Ok if sprayed immediately = Upon first mixing the products there is no instant reaction and it is usable, but after a longer period of time a reaction will take place and become unusable. It is recommended to spray within an hour of mixing these products.
