CALF FEED calf The PRO START range has been developed to supply a range of well-balanced nutritional calf feed supplements for the New Zealand farmer. Combining the best ingredients available into one product range of highly nutritional calf supplements. All products in the PRO START range contain essential minerals, vitamins and coccidiostats. PRO START 20 A quality pelleted calf feed made from a unique blend of industry leading ingredients, developed to achieve optimal calf growth and rumen development containing 20% protein. Pro Start 20 offers a high grain content with digestible proteins and a unique blend of intrinsic oils. Contains no PKE. PRO START 16 A quality pelleted calf feed made from a unique blend of industry leading ingredients, developed to achieve optimal calf growth and rumen development containing 16% protein. Similar to Pro Start 20 with slightly less grain, offering a lower cost finishing pellet. Contains no PKE. PRO START STARTER A premium textured calf feed manufactured from high quality ingredients, designed to encourage early rumen development in calves. Pro Start Starter contains a mixture of grains, proteins, calcium, yeast and molasses for early uptake and rapid development. PRO START GROWER A lower cost, well-balanced, molasses based soft textured calf feed that delivers the nutritional requirements needed by young calves in transition from liquid feeding to pasture based systems.
SILO/SHED FEEDS UTILISING TRACKER Rather than offering a standard range of silo feeds, GrainCorp Feeds works alongside dairy farmers to help meet on-farm production, reproduction, performance and profitability goals by incorporating high quality feeds and the latest technical support tools designed to drive economic returns. Tracker is one tool available exclusively and free of charge to GrainCorp customers. Tracker is an online milk monitoring and prediction tool using your weekly calving pattern and herd details to create a realistic production target. Weekly milk data is uploaded directly from your milk supplier, for real time tracking and assessment, as well as a seasonal comparison. Our team are trained in use of Tracker and review individual farm data remotely and work with farmers to identify opportunities to improve production and proactively improve margins over feed costs. Tracker includes a fill the gap calculator which can provide an estimation of feed volumes and costs to meet feed deficits, and calculates the potential return on this feed investment. TRACKER Online milk monitoring and prediction tool to help proactively drive production and profitability.
DRY FEEDS LIQUID FEED dry liquid The PRO COW DRY range delivers a cost effective, balanced palm kernel based animal feed. Having developed unique mixing techniques for blending liquid feeds and macro minerals with palm kernel, GrainCorp Feeds bring you a range of feed products which give the benefit of low cost, combined with enhanced digestibility. Ideal next step up from PKE, particularly for milking cows. PRO COW 30 Pro Cow 30 is a unique, cost effective blend of PKE and Molasses with added sodium and calcium for enhanced digestibility, better feed utilisation and improved animal health. PRO COW 15 Pro Cow 15 offers a lower cost feed while maintaining characteristics superior to PKE alone. Pro Cow 15 is similar to Pro Cow 30, although containing a lower Molasses content. PRO COW MILK-UP Pro Cow Milk Up is a PKE based balanced feed formulated to stimulate rapid recovery and production after calving. Similar to Pro Cow 15 and Pro Cow 30, Pro Cow Milk Up also contains Molasses, higher rates of calcium and sodium and with the addition of DDG and magnesium. GrainCorp Feeds offers supply and delivery of a range of liquid feed options. MOLASSES Molasses is derived from cane sugar and is characterised by its great palatability and flexibility of use. There are two grades of molasses Feedgrade (74.5% dry matter) and Blackstrap (78.4% dry matter). GOAT FEEDS GrainCorp Feeds have developed a range of specialised goat feeds which meet the New Zealand Dairy Goat Co-op feeding requirements for lactating goats. These are all non GM and sourced from approved regions. These feeds include Pro Goat Milker, MGP, Canola Meal, Pro Kid and more.
CUSTOM BLENDS GrainCorp Feeds has access to a wide range of exclusive, highly nutritional feeds, as well as competitively priced commodity feeds which can be blended to meet specific herd and budget requirements. Our team can help tailor a blend to suit your herd. PROTEIN OPTIONS PKE Palm Kernel Expeller (PKE) is a by-product of the palm oil extraction process from the fruit of the palm, offering a low cost source of dry matter. DDGS (WHEAT OR CORN BASED) DDGS is a meal containing high protein and energy levels. DDGS is the dried residue remaining after grain starches have been fermented in the process of producing bio ethanol in combination with yeasts and enzymes. A course dark coloured free flowing granular powder with a pleasant fermented odour. Non GM option available. CANOLA MEAL Canola Meal is a by-product from the extraction of oil for human consumption and contains around 36.5% crude protein. Canola Meal has a good portion of rumen bypass protein and has strong reputation for enhancing appetite in lactating cows. Non GM option available. CANOLA PELLET A concentrated source of highly palatable, digestible protein and energy with a favourable amino acid profile. The Canola Pellet is made from cold pressed canola meal and can be added to the cows diet at any time to help increase total protein intake. STARCH OPTIONS CORN PELLET The Corn Pellet is manufactured using high quality corn, wheat pollard and binder, resulting in a concentrated source of very palatable and digestible starch and energy. MIXED GRAIN PELLET The Mixed Grain Pellet is a high quality grain based pellet containing premium quality wheat, oats, pea pollard and pea kibble, offering a high energy, high starch feed. Non GM. OAT HULL PELLET Oat Hull Pellets are a by-product of processing oats for human consumption. Oat Hull Pellets are lower in protein and energy, while providing good levels of fibre and are an ideal feed to help cost effectively increase dry matter intake. Non GM. KIBBLED MAIZE Kibbled Maize is locally grown, energy dense and high in starch. It is more digestible than whole grains and has a more stable release within the rumen than some other grain types. Non GM. Other products available include: Soybean Meal, Tapioca, Soyhulls and Hominey. ABOUT US GrainCorp Feeds is a National feeds business with access to international supply chains providing access to high quality, innovative and cost effective dairy feeds. GrainCorp Feeds offers a comprehensive range of high quality liquid and dry dairy and calf feeds suitable for a variety of feeding systems and developed to improve on-farm production, reproduction, performance and profitability.
ADDITIVE OPTIONS GrainCorp Feeds offer a range of additive options which can be added at required rates to any of the GrainCorp Feeds dairy range to help ensure your animals remain healthy, maintain or improve body condition, and improve productivity. LIME Lime is particularly important post calving as the calcium aids in the prevention of milk fever in dairy cows following calving. Calcium is also essential for optimum milk production, skeletal heath, and animal development. MAGNESIUM OXIDE Magnesium plays an important role in milk fever prevention (calcium deficiency). Magnesium is required for the production of hormones that are important for the absorption of calcium from the gut and the mobilisation of calcium from bones. MONENSIN Monensin has been shown to have a positive effect within the cows rumen. Monensin can aid in the prevention of bloat control, help improve feed conversion efficiency resulting in improved production and has also been proven to increase the protein fraction of milk and therefore economically delivering more milk per mouthful of feed. Research show 5-7% more energy is utilised from feed by cows treated with monensin. SALT Salt provides minerals that are essential for muscle, nerve and immune system function, sound reproductive health, and improved coat conditions. PRO COW MP400 Unique to GrainCorp Feeds, Pro Cow MP400 is a cost effective, pelleted source of sodium, calcium, magnesium and Bovatec, offering a power packed pelleted feed additive. While high in minerals Pro Cow MP400 also provides levels of starch, protein and energy meaning that feed value will not be compromised if added to your selected dairy feed. Pro Cow MP400 can either be blended with either meals or pellets to maximise palatability, mitigate dust issues, maximise uptake and enhance feed value. Pro Cow MP400 is designed to be fed to lactating dairy cows at 400 grams per day as part of a blended feed ration with a minimum combined blended feeding rate of 2kg per head per day. VITAMINS & TRACE MINERALS GrainCorp Feeds has access to a wide range of trace mineral packages which can include Zinc, Copper, Maganese, Cobalt, Chromium, Selenium and Iodine. Trace mineral packages can be tailored to individual herd requirements. Other additives available upon request: By-pass fats, mycotoxin binders, rumen buffers, zinc oxide, transition minerals, yeasts, Regulator, flavouring
