1 Association of Clinical Elbow & Shoulder Surgeons Hotel Del Coronado The was founded in 2005 by a group of fellowship trained elbow and shoulder surgeons with the common goal of the advancement of patient care. The Association continually conducts complicated elbow and shoulder case discussions via the internet. The Associations holds annual business and scientific meetings and through participation in ACESS, members strive to improve the quality of care provided to patients with complex elbow and shoulder disorders.
2 Board of Directors President President-Elect Secretary Treasurer Jay Keener, MD April Armstrong, MD Christopher Chuinard, MD Cyrus Lashgiri, MD Disclosure Statement To ensure balance, independence, objectivity and scientific rigor in all sponsored educational activities, all participating speakers, course directs and planning committee members are required to disclose to the program audience any financial relationships related to the subject matter of this program. Relationships of spouse/partner with proprietary entities producing health care goods or services should be disclosed is they are of a nature that may influence the objectivity of the individual in a position to control the content of the program. Specific disclosure information for each speaker, course director and planning committee member will be shared with the audience prior to the speaker s presentation.
3 Agenda Note: The format for the didactic session this year will be changed slightly. Each discussant should start their presentation with a specific case and their treatment of that case. Following the case presentation, a brief discussion for the pros/cons of the treatment should be given based on pertinent literature or experience. We are requesting that each designated speaker briefly review their case(s) with their respective moderator prior to the meeting to facilitate preparation and discussion. We hope this new format will move quicker and generate lively discussion.
