2 Anatomical Shoulder System by Zimmer This unique system is like an individually produced prosthesis specifically designed for each patient. The modularity and design of the Anatomical Shoulder System allows accurate and reproducible reconstruction of the glenohumeral joint thus restoring improved kinematics of the limb. In order to reconstruct the proximal humerus anatomically it is necessary to reproduce the size and orientation of the humeral head accurately. The humeral head prosthesis is adjusted to this anatomical position on the humeral stem prosthesis and then firmly locked. With the removable head option, the stem is situated below the resection line for unobstructed glenoid access. Infinitely variable setting of the humeral head Inclination angle Cervicodiaphyseal angle The anatomical inclination angle of the humerus varies between 120 and 140. With the Anatomical Shoulder prosthesis the angle can be infinitely adjusted between 113 and / +30 Inclination Retroversion

Cemented Shoulder Prosthesis Removable Head Press-Fit (Uncemented) Shoulder Prosthesis Retroversion The anatomical retroversion of the humeral head is between +60 and -20. p C S Offset The center of the head is normally posterior and medial from the center of With the Anatomical Shoulder the diaphysis (humeral axis). prosthesis the retroversion can be infinitely adjusted between -30 to +30. m S=diaphysis (humeral axis) C=center of the head 2-7mm The extent of the medial and posterior offset varies from individual to individual and as a function of the size p=posterior offset (0-8mm) m=medial offset of the humerus. For the Anatomical Shoulder (2-12mm) prosthesis, the infinitely variable eccentricity, which takes account of the Offset offset, is from 2mm (Ø 40mm) to 7mm (Ø 52mm).
