2 Information Beaver Creek, Colorado The conference will be held at The Ritz-Carlton Beaver Creek resort. Free time is scheduled on Saturday afternoon, enabling participants and their families to enjoy the many summer outdoor activities available, including golf, hiking, swimming, fishing, and more. 4 Register online at DenverHealth.org/OrthoTraumaConference Conference Registration Fee: $250 Cancellation/Refunds The full conference tuition is refundable, less a $50 processing fee, if your cancellation is received, in writing or online, by July 9. The $50 processing fee is nonrefundable regardless of the reason for cancellation. Refunds will not be granted after July 15 or for nonattendance. Denver Health reserves the right to cancel this conference in the event of an unforeseen circumstance, or if the minimum acceptable registration is not attained. 5 Orthopedic Trauma Conference Learning objectives 1. Participants will be able to discuss relevant liability risks associated with Electronic Medical Records and describe methods to reduce this liability risk. 2. Understand current emergency treatment protocols for patients with pelvic ring injuries. Understand how to apply a pelvic binder or simple sheet to stabilize the pelvic ring prior to patient transfer. 3. Improved understanding of treatment decisions regarding distal radius fractures. 4. Understand shared decision making and how it can be instituted in orthopedic practice. This course is designed to provide the Orthopedic Surgeon with an update on the latest techniques in the management of Orthopedic Trauma, including the treatment of common fractures. Controversies in optimal fracture and patient management will be discussed. This course offers a head start for individuals preparing for Maintenance of Competency Certification and will offer 12 AMA PRA Category 1 Hours. This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint sponsorship of The University of Colorado School of Medicine and Denver Health and Hospital Authority. The University of Colorado School of Medicine (UCSOM) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
