4 Surgical Drapes & Accessories MATERIALS All Elite Surgical materials fulfil the standard EN 3795 for low number of particles, absorption capability, impermeability to micro-organisms and tear strength. We collaborate with certified suppliers, and you can be certain that the products used by them adhere to high quality standards. Each individual product has the CE label. SMS, SMMS, SMMMS SMS, SMMS and SMMS material is composed of layers of spunbonded fabric and layers of melt blown fabric. The polypropylene fibres have the advantage of building barriers against bacteria and repelling blood and other liquids. With good tensile strength, and high filtration, it is also lint-free, breathable, and can be supplied with antialcohol, anti-blood, anti-static, anti-oil and softness treatments. SPUNLACE Spunlace nonwoven consists of a fleece material, used often due to its skin comfort with a soft texture and smooth surface. Lint-free, breathable, tear-proof, repellent against bacteria, blood and other liquids. DUAL-LAYER With its absorption and liquid-trapping properties, dual layer material has become more widespread. During surgery, the top layer quickly absorbs any type of liquid that comes onto the cloth and the bottom PE film layer prevents absolute liquid penetration. High barrier against bacteria, impermeability to blood and other liquids, lint-free, good drapability. TRILAMINATE A combination of Spunbond PP, PE film, and absorbent viscose. Absorbent in the top layer, and fully liquid resistant in middle layer, the bottom PP fabric layer prevents hypothermia of the patient during long operations. High barrier against bacteria, impermeability to blood and other liquids, lint-free, good drapability. MEDICAL TAPE Medical tapes which have non-irritating characteristics to skin are used for securing the cloth to the patient s skin or for creating a barrier around the surgery zone. It minimises the microorganism transfer from or to the surgery zone. INCISE FILM Incise film layers have non-irritating characteristics to skin, and help to maintain good adhesion by inserting in between the clothes during surgery or by using it alone in the surgery zone.
