3 A letter from the Course Chairs Dear Colleagues, It is a pleasure to welcome you the 2013 Advanced Techniques in Equine Fracture Management Course. The Columbus courses represent the longest standing AO Courses in Fracture Repair in both human and veterinary fields in the United States. They have been given annually in Columbus since Drs. Hohn and Jenny first started them in Despite over 40 years of history the Columbus Veterinary Courses are continuously evolving. I would suggest a participant who took the Equine Advanced Course 10 years ago may not recognize it today in its present state. Introduction of new techniques and evolution of old ones are coupled with advanced bone models and equipment which promise to give the participant state of the art training in management of advanced equine fracture repair techniques. Table of Contents CME Mission 4 Statement Course 5 6 Descriptions/ Target Audience/ Learner Objectives Accreditation 7 Designation 7 This course provides in-depth discussion and hands on application of advanced equine fracture repair techniques through over 30 lectures and over 6 hours of laboratory time. The internally renowned faculty provides insights on diagnostic and operative techniques in a unique setting which optimizes the participants experience. The radiology review session allow the participants to share problem cases and to get input by recognized leaders in equine fracture repair. We hope you are looking forward to your participation in the 2013 Advanced Techniques in Equine Fracture Management Course. The course faculty and the AO North America staff look forward to seeing you in Columbus. Sincerely, Faculty 8 9 Final Program Thursday, April Friday, April Saturday, April Sunday, April Larry Bramlage Al Ruggles Location Key 14 Presentation 15 Information
