To teach the candidate administration and management in physiotherapy practice including marketing and development strategies.. To learn the principles of practice in a professional manner by internalizing the core values of profession as described and prescribed by WCPT, APTA, WHO, IAP and other international association and organisation. 3. To teach WCPT guideline for standards of physiotherapy practice. 4. To understand the prospectus of International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health by WCPT.. To practice moral values, ethical principles, educational objectives, concepts of teachinglearning, evaluation methods and skills essential for effective functioning Understand the basic issues of Management & Administration. 6. Documentation of rehabilitation assessment and management using International Classification of Functioning Disability and Health (ICF), Persons with Disability Act Standardized tests and scales used in various types of cases for assessment and interpretation in Physiotherapy practice. 1 Ethical issues in practice of physiotherapy. 3 Instruction Method 1. Emphasis on interactive sessions, group discussion and logical thinking.. Lectures will be conducted with the aid of multi-media projector, black board, OHP, etc. 3. Assignments based on course content will be given to the students aid the end of each unit/topic and will be evaluated at regular interval. 4. Surprise tests/quiz/seminar/case presentation journal club will be conducted.. Probability & Hypothesis Testing - Null Hypothesis, Alternative hypothesis, Acceptance & rejection of null Hypothesis, Level of significance. To acquire updated knowledge of Physiology of Physical Exercise. To learn various the nutrients and describe their relationship to human performance with regard to energy production, measurement, and expenditure 3. To explain the impact of environmental stress, such as altitude, temperature, and pressure, on performance during exercise 4. To explain methods for assessing body composition, the causes of obesity, and methods of weight control and employ these principles through applied laboratory experiences. To learn about the principles, various methods of exercise testing, prescription and training 6. To learn about various components of nutrition and its importance, energy transfer and expenditure 7. To prescribe & train for general fitness and health promotion for children, pregnant and lactating females, obese and elderly subjects. 8.
