2 PSYCHOLOGY DISCOVER WHY WE ARE WHO WE ARE HURON PSYCHOLOGY Psychology is the study of the brain, behaviour and the mind. We explore questions related to memory and attention, learning, social relationships, human development, language and mental health. Understanding how and why humans communicate, relate and interact is essential for effective Leadership with Heart in any field. We need leaders who can imagine the future and understand how we can work together to achieve our common goals. At Huron, we are unique among undergraduate programs because students start to develop research skills in first year. This practical research focus is maintained throughout the program, providing excellent preparation for any career path or further studies. DUAL DEGREES WITH IVEY Students completing this five-year program will graduate with an Honors Specialization Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology and an Honors Business Administration (HBA) degree. This combined program recognizes and builds on the complementary content of business and psychology. Students apply to the combined program during their third year of university. ivey.uwo.ca/hba NEW HURON AND HARVARD As the only HBX CORe partner in Ontario, Huron students can earn a Credential of Readiness from Harvard s Business School. hbx.hbs.edu/courses/core/

5 BEYOND THE CLASSROOM Psychology students at Huron have many opportunities to collaborate and work alongside professors as research assistants and co-author published papers. On-campus research facilities include an infant and child lab, social psychology research lab, applied psychology research group and an animal behaviour laboratory. Recent research and community-learning projects include working with local school boards to develop anti-cyberbullying interventions in schools and work in local childcare centres. MY HURON EXPERIENCE At Huron, I get the benefits of a small-class setting, but I can also have a big lecture experience across the street at Western. Everyone here is so brilliant and welcoming. The professors are experts in their fields and that s really important to me. I my professors constantly and they get back to me quickly with feedback. They re always there and they want to help. The best part of Huron is knowing you have so many options. WHERE DO OUR GRADS GO?
