Through research, I hope to uncover the mechanisms by which anxiety and discrimination produce psychological stress for people of color. Currently, I am preparing to defend my dissertation, which looks at racial identity development and its effects on the perception of discrimination in African Americans. Upon completing my doctorate, I will pursue a position where I can assist a diverse range of individuals in coping with psychological issues associated with membership within underrepresented populations. 1
