Our Supernva teachers will wrk acrss ur family f schls cvering absence f staff internally. Yu will be placed in a hme schl as a supernumerary member f staff and will be required, when needed, t liaise with ur Supernva Supprt Manager t cver lessns in ther schls. The Trust has been recgnised by the Department fr Educatin as being well placed t raise standards and achieve excellence fr pupils in a grwing number f academies. We are presented with a rare pprtunity t make a real difference t the lives and life chances f s many primary and secndary schl children many f whm haven t previusly received the educatinal pprtunities they deserve. Astrea Academy Trust is in an exciting perid f grwth and develpment. These are exciting new rles t establish a pl f Astrea Supernva Teachers (ASTs) wh can wrk as ur internal supply staff acrss ur academies, enabling Astrea t achieve cnsistency and excellence in practice even when teachers are absent r training. This pprtunity will enable the successful candidates t wrk in a unique, effective and flexible way acrss the Suth Yrkshire regin. AST s will be deplyed in the event f capacity requirements at any f these academies with an expectatin t react quickly t the needs f the Trust. By wrking in a flexible way the pst hlder will be available t wrk acrss the Suth Yrkshire regin (Dncaster, Barnsley, Sheffield) thrughut bth primary and secndary phases. Teachers will be deplyed t fcus excellent teaching practices in academies where supprt is required in the events f Teacher training, absence, and maternity/paternity cver. We recgnise that sme children may be especially vulnerable t abuse e.g. thse with Special Educatinal Needs, thse living in adverse circumstances. Whilst at the Academies, their behaviur may be challenging. We will always take a cnsidered and sensitive apprach in rder that we can supprt all ur students. The Trust s Child Safeguarding Plicy applies t all adults, including vlunteers, wrking in r n behalf f the Trust.
