(25 points) Articulates the art method and how it links to social justice issue. (25 points) Addresses social justice issue including understanding of difference, power, and discrimination in relation to race, class, sex, gender etc... (25 points)* requirements. (25 points) *Fulfills DPD learning outcome
4 Art Demo: Feedback on Creative-Reflective Projects The Art Demo is an opportunity for students of the ES/WGSS 375 Arts and Social Justice course to create a creative reflective project of their own design which addresses structural and systemic inequalities, aligns with their passion or interest area, and where the art method is intentionally chosen to communicate their message. This event allows the student to receive feedback to make revisions to their final project. The Bullseye Crit At each of the student/artist stations there will be a Bullseye Crit. Please place one sticker in each pie slice area. Using the HOT WARM COLD scale, how well does the creative reflective project address or convey: Macro/Structural Inequality - Are the social justice issue area(s) in this piece clear? (e.g. classism, racism, gender identity, sexuality, prison industrial complex, etc ) Personal/Interpersonal the Micro level - Identity formation (coming to know one s self and areas of power, privilege, oppression, bias, etc..) - Evidence of an area of passion or interest Art Method - Construction or a well thought out plan - Correlation or connection to the message of the work We also encourage you to leave additional comments and feedback for the students on the index cards provided.
