7 Traumatic Brain Injury Services Over past 4 years Re:Cognition Health has been involved with assessment and care of patients with Mild Traumatic Brain Injury. We have found it is a very complex condition. Patients frequently don t realise what is happening but their symptoms seriously affect them. To make matters worse, their doctors struggle to make sense of their symptoms too. This means patients often feel lost and abandoned by the system. To make matters even worse patients often have physical symptoms, sleep symptoms and psychiatric symptoms.

8 At Re:Cognition Health we have developed diagnostic and treatment services for patients with acute (less than 3 months) subacute (3-12 months) and chronic symptoms (<12months). Ensuring the best possible outcome following a head injury can be a challenge, especially when the injury appears, initially, to have been fairly minor. Subsequent cognitive symptoms may have a significant impact on performance at work and at school which can have an impact on your day-to-day life. Our bi-annual conference for lawyers in October 2015 provided the first dedicated UK conference by doctors for lawyers, addressing complex diagnostic medical issues in the medico-legal arena.
